Young people can't comprehend how significant the Gillette Trac II razor was when it came out in 1971 because these things aren't taught in school.

Winstar,
Respectfully, I disagree. I believe our society and people are resilient in the face of change and all these positive qualities will prevail.
I encounter and recognize them daily in myself, friends and family, business contacts and strangers.

Respect
Love
Genuineness
Friendship
Accountability
Integrity
Honesty
Commitment
Trustworthiness
Loyalty
Fairness
Sincerity
Empathy
Compassion
Generosity
Kindness
Happiness
Freedom (OK, a bit of that gets chipped away all the time; let's all push back.)
Privacy (ditto)
Life Expectancy
Environment (The word doesn't mean anything anymore; too many agenda groups have hijacked it.)
Life (We all get as much time as we get.)

We'll all be OK.

Sometimes, you have to look at what something does, not how it does it. Newspaper replaced by Sympaitico's web page??? So what!! It still distills information and distributes it. The internet? One giant step towards a truly global community. The loss of carberators merely means less pollution to breath and a smaller carbon footprint to travel a kilometer. Payphones gone? It's because you can reach your children for thirty bucks a month, anytime, anywhere.

Truth, beauty, spin and charm.. are they personality traits, or are they charactreristics of a quark? The hallmarks of civility, inherantly, become more valiable in their scarcity.

Has the nature of the world moved on, or only the mechanics of it's reality?

Why was it more significant than the Wilinson Sword? The first stainless steel blade ever.
