a lot of this is also to do with the stars they're idolozing... all the pop-divas these days are wearing next-to-nothings... they're setting up trends which teens follow and do not see it as bad or slutty..... and parents stop them, they can easily become rebellious...

Yes I agree. Case in point: The Spice Girls, Spears, Christina, etc...

I remember thinking several times when seeing The Spice Girls. Wow, don't these idiots know that the majority of their fan base is 12 - 15 yr old girls. And that is how they dress? The amazing thing I was shocked by was when they came to TO and appeared at City-TV. In the line up to see them there in the company of their mothers were a whole bunch of these young fans dressed just like them. The Spice Girls. Wow. Unblievable.

I don't think it's just a case of looking back on the good 'ol days. If you don't think kids are more sexualized today than in the past, you're living under a rock.

IMO, part of the problem is this attitude that kids are just being kids and today's behaviour is just like what we did as kids but in a different context.

This is true and it started when extended families broke up . I was raised by grandparents , parents worked , now kids come home to empty homes or have parents who work shifts= They dress and do as they please because no one is around to stop them. Once the majority of parents don't care or have time the standard chages and if you try to make your kid the exception you are now the enemy , thus starts the slutification.

I remember some pretty short kilts in the 80's. In fact, I just loved it when the subway came into the station! Wind from Heaven!!!!
Lustfull  young lad that I was.

Ah yes. Now it's those new puff or fluff skirts as I call them. They are really short and puffy. Something like figure skaters use to wear.

This is not cool and venturing beyond the grey area IMO ...

It's true that parents are responsible to a degree for their children's actions, but by the time they are teenagers they're already programmed. I knew girls at St. Jo's who would just pin up their skirts after they left the house ... those St Jo's chicks ... god love 'em.

Where is Morrow Park? Could be some good MILF in that area. No? Good looking rich women in BMWs! Yah! Why do you think I shop at Forrest Hill Loblaws?

To get to your question for Pool. For me I always see the high school girls at St. Clair West subway where I get on every morning. Like I said though it's not just the high school girls... although they are the most shocking. It's the office girls heading downtown too. Or I guess some could be UofT girls cause I notice a whole bunch of them get off at Queen's Park all the time.

"They claimed that such items carried with them a provocative sense that was unhealthy for girls to start idolizing at such a young age, both giving the impression to children that they should start thinking highly of sex and encouraging child pornography."

Bit of a stretch, I think. Especially the last part.

cH1ooo, it seems we sexualise nudity by covering it up ... whatever is left to the imagination is the most intriguing ... or is it that we are now accentuating that which is reavealed ...very confusing people we are.

yah, but strange thing is that complete nudity doesn't seem as erotic as partial... which keeps our minds guessing for more, and imagining "what lies beneath"... this imagining keeps the blood flowing to all the right parts of the body...
imagine if there were no clothes in the world... we'd be just like other animals... the world would be a lot different place...

Not always, but it can be. People tend to embellish in their mind what is not immediately attainable, or is kept hidden from them. Reminds me of the old John Lennon line, "Got to be good looking 'cos he's so hard to see."

This thread is great. A bunch of older guys on an escort review site questioning the morality of young women who dress provocatively.

Pinch me-I must be dreaming

These young lolitas know what they are doing, a game that has been played

since the beginning of time. Older women spends billions of dollars annually

to look young and fresh. Somethings never change, no matter how we much

we analyze them.

Please explain to me why the fact that a person may seek the services of an escort, posts on the 'net and/or is an "older" male they don't have the right to their own moral values just like anyone else.

I don't think anyone is questioning the morality of it anyway, except in the case of preteens/young teens and in that case it's more of a general concern/discussion. Not questioning the individuals values.

I agree with Pool. First off there is nothing wrong morally with buying or selling escort services. And I think we are not discussing the morality of young girls on this thread. Just saying that dress style has changed a lot etc. I find it a bit shocking and a little disturbing sometimes. But that does not mean I am judging these girls to be any more or less moral then your average citizen.
