Well then you've won one haven't you son. Well done.
Actually, I thought Fuji was an idiot well before the exchange he's referring to, but that particular exchange firmly established that he has some serious behavioural and/or emotional problems. I truly feel sorry for the trainwreck that his life must be, and thats why for the most part I don't want anything to do with the little dude. It is fun to occasionally tease people, but what with Fuji's condition, I don't think its appropriated to encourage him. And I'm pretty sure that most other folks on this board also see that Fuji has some serious problems. He needs help with his problems, not material to further fuel them.
Fuji, I'm sure you're waiting to jump all over this with some smart-ass reply, but I have no ill-will or resentment towards you, and when I say I feel sorry for you, it is pity and sadness, not spite or a putdown. I think you need professional help and I truly hope you got some so that you have a chance of living a normal life instead of the fantasy world you inhabit. Reality isn't perfect, but you should give it a chance. Best of luck to with with that. If the only bit of joy that comes into what must be a sad lonely life is "winning" a debate on the internet, I've given you all I can, but you need to get treatment. I don't want to be part of the pending disaster you are heading for.

I did. Despite getting super pissed off, he in fact backed off the claims he was making that Pashtunwali code made the Taliban's actions somehow legal or acceptable (and therefore the invasion illegal).
OK, I looked up any past threads on the Taliban and Pashtunwali (don't ask me why, I was bored), and two things struck me. One, seth seemed to have more knowlege and perspective on the subject than anyone else here, certainly far more than you. And two, if anyone in the discussion seemed to be getting unhinged, it was you.

Maybe you missed some of the more subtle nuances in the argument?
But seriously, thanks for the vote of support.
Now, wait 'til tomorrow morning for news of Obama's visit to Kabul & the compound attacks.............the bad guys could have had their "they got him" moment!!!

After Obama left, a bunch of bombs went boom. It was like the 4th of July in Kabul.

This is an old article, but its a good analysis of the situation:

http://www.ctc.usma.edu/posts/bin-l...-limits-of-liaison-intelligence-relationships

But, more importantly than this year-old report, is that the CTC (that's the link above) will be releasing documents collected from the Bin laden compound. Follow the link provided, look under publication at the upper right hand, and it will most likely be under the CTC Sentinel option. That will be tomorrow, so don't start clicking away ASAP and then coming back to me saying "hey Gecks, your link doesn't work".........

He was also wrong. It's great that he was so knowledgeable about Pashtunwali code. That doesn't mean it over-rides international law. His claim on that thread, if you found the right one, was that somehow the invasion of Afghanistan was wrong because under the Taliban's code they had no choice but to harbour Al Qaeda. I accused him of drinking the Pashtunwali kool-aid, and ever since then he's been pissed off.

No, I'm pretty sure I found the right one, thanks.

Fuji might be right..............lets work through it together.
1) Fuji thinks I've "drunk the Pashtunwali Kool-aid". I'm not 100% sure what he's trying to get at, but I freely admit I admire and respect the Afghan people and the Pashtunwali code. And I think I've got WAYYYYYYYYYY more knowledge & experience with Pashtunwali (henceforth to be "P-wal") than most people; averaged about 9months/year for about 8 years straight in A-stan.
2) Fuji thinks he's somehow pissed me off, or that I am pissed off at him, because he's pointed out that I am knowledgeable in P-wal and have no malice or ill-will towards it. I mean, despite the fact that some Afghans tried to kill my & my buddies, and some Afghans actually did kill some of my buddies, and some Afghans are still trying to kill some of my buddies, and the difficulties in my personal life from so many mulitple deployments (I have new kids with a new "wife" but that doesnt fill the spot my first kids will always hold; of course I was distraught while this was going on, but I understand why my 1st wife did what she did and I can't hold it against her; oh yeah, this is about P-wal). Oddly, despite me having LOTS of reasons to harbour hatred towards the Taliban, I don't (so finally Fuji got something right! Yayyyy!!!). I understand them, I respect them, I fought them, but I don't have any ill-will towards them (that's a condition well documented by dudes like Ben Shalit & Dave Grossman; civilians & remfs (no disrespect) express greater feelings of animosity towards the "enemy" than those dudes actually fighting them!).
3) This is the part where Fuji's "argument" gets weak (as usual). how is it that I'm NOT pissed off at the dudes that tried to kill me, but I AM pissed off that the dude who "pointed out" that I don't hate the dudes that tried to kill me????? I suggest Fuji familiarize himself with Irwin Rommel & "War without Hate" (interesting sidenote: During the 2nd Gulf War, captured Iraqi troopers were reportedly at a loss to understand why American tank crews had pictures of Rommel in their tanks. Didn't the American fight Rommels' Germans in WW2??..........poor ignorant SOB's didn't understand that you don't have to hate the man you're fighting)

I suppose from all this we can conclude that Fuji is as intelligent as an illiterate, uneducated Iraqi tank-jockey. There's really not much that "pisses" me off anymore; there are problems that need resolution, and like the simplest math problem that a 2nd-grader may try, you have to understand it to resolve it. Maybe when Fugi make it to 2nd grade, he'll get it. There's 2 reason why the ladies refer to me as "Mr Cucumber"; 1 is "cool as a cucumber", 2 is my penis (it is very green and very bumpy).
But Fuji, if beleiving that you somehow "pissed me off", by acknowledging my understanding and admiration of P-wal, helps you make it through another sad, lonely night until you can get back on the internet for another round of "winning debates" to fill the massive void in your empty life, then yes, you've "pissed me off" Grrrrrrrr. I am so angry! Arrgggggggg!! Grrrrrrrr............. Congrats Fuji, you're the best!!!!! Just please try to say something intelligent at least once in a while

There might be some interesting stuff in tomorrow's CTC downloads to discuss, but otherwise I'm done with this thread.
