I agree with you 1000%! Cristina still struggles mightily to read the news without errors. Just this past week she stumbled so badly (worse than usual) and almost seemed to completely blank out with this HUGE pause of silence, that I temporarily wondered if she was having a stroke. And she's been there for about a decade. It's a running joke in the household that she will mess up at some point, no ifs ands or buts (she's a much better field reporter, anchoring is just not her strength). I also remember Arda struggling a lot to read the news before she left for mat leave. We'll see if she has gotten better now that she's back. Lindsay is like a breath of fresh air, extremely good at reading the news (very strong, clear with no stumbling/mistakes). She's right up there with Leena Latafat & Shanelle Kaul in that regard. It's clearly a strength of hers since she was already doing this at CTV Barrie. And it doesnt hurt at all that she is the most attractive anchor/reporter they have (though Kayla, Arda and Shanelle are right up there with her).
