Thanks To All for your Input, but I finally decided NOT to go with a Projection TV.
(Sheik, you were right, I carefully looked at the screens and All of them are burnt...you can see the shadow of channel's LOGOS).
The Screens are not part of the Warranty and the vendor said that they do burn after 2 months if you watch TV more than 5 hours per day.

I went for LCD screen 92cm, Thomson...A little more costy than the PJTV, but well worth it!

I am happy today......

:)

I've just bought a Projector TV this afternoon, not knowing that the screen can burn "if you watch TV more than 5 hours per day".
Can someone please provide me more information on this? I can cancel the order if this was indeed true. I thought I had researched the subject including reading a number of consumer reviews and this problem was never cited. Please help. Thanks.

Anywhere there's a Strip Joint
I heard the other day, Canon/Toshiba are combining on a new venture to come up with another type of tv with an even better picture. I guess it's just like computers, the day after you buy one, something new comes on the market. The consumer can never win.....

if you bought one of those behemoth TV's (also known as CRT Rear Projection TVs)...........then yes, burn-in is a common problem............apparently those station/network logos (like CityTV, CTV, and CNN) can leave "imprints" on the screen

...........this problem is not possible on other types of rear projection TVs (ie. LCD and DLP).......but then you have problems with stuck pixels/mirrors.........

Exactly, If you look carefully, you can see the shadow of these Logos...and if you watch DVD's A lot. the 2 black Stripes (over and Under) will leave grey Marks.....
I do Play Video Games a Lot and was also Affraid that Timers and Screen Maps Burn the Screen....But when the Salesman told me it could burn after 2 months....I decided to invest a little More and Get a Good Screen! Cost : Euros 3,500.....
