The investigation is on-going and may take several weeks. Nothing has been proven, one way or the other.
THS is current suspended as an affiliate of the OSPCA.
And as far as I am concerned, it's not just about the treatment of animals - filing one set of financial numbers with the board and another with CRA just doesn't smell right. Maybe that's common practice with non-profit organizations but somehow I doubt it.

Post again when the results of the "investigation" are released.
Again, to this point, NOTHING has been found to support the allegations that were made against them. Despite the fact that many of these allegations would have been immediately obvious upon inspection of the facility.
It's easy to accuse, hard to disprove an accusation.
Nothing to see here, folks. Move on.
You've got to be kidding. Yes, nothing has been proven, but the available pieces of information are not looking good.

"The investigation is ongoing and we are limited as to the information we can provide at this time. We can disclose that we found animals in distress requiring immediate intervention and as a result, Orders have been issued," says Ontario SPCA Senior Inspector Mindy Hall who is the lead investigator on the case.

"What followed was a saga that culminated in the couple discovering they had brought home a seriously injured dog. Her leg was fractured and her kneecap severely displaced, a condition made worse by the Toronto Humane Society's inability to return their desperate requests for veterinary records. Left in the dark, Ms. Kendrick and Ms. Miguel had spent $526.21 in tests, X-rays and medication by the time their own vet confirmed that one of the country's largest animal shelters had given them a dog with a broken leg."

The first two links were from the original "allegations", so nothing new there.
Now, I trust nothing from the OSPCA, since they're the ones with the agenda, and the Globe and Mail, who "broke" the story in the first place, now has to defend their reputation.
Sorry, but it doesn't wash.
NONE of the allegations have borne any fruit yet.
Next.
One of the people quoted in the article link posted by Someone is still (or least was) an employee - so much for the disgruntled ex-employees.
None of the allegations haven't borne fruit yet because the investigation is still ongoing. We'll see what happens, although you've already laid the groundwork to back pedal by saying the OSPCA has an "agenda".

IF the employee quoted in the last Globe article is correct, it's fairly easy to see why the investigators didn't find too many problems with the care of the animals in the facility during their "raid". And I will say again, there seem to be significant problems at the THS that go far beyond the care given to the animals.

Update: Seems there is enough basis to the allegations to keep the investigators busy

“Toronto Humane Society probe extended
SPCA ‘overwhelmed' with information
Kate Hammer
From Friday's Globe and Mail Last updated on Friday, Jul. 24, 2009 03:17AM EDT
An investigation by the Ontario Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals into allegations of animal suffering at the Toronto Humane Society has been extended after inspectors were overwhelmed by people wishing to submit statements.
The investigation was launched nearly two months ago following a Globe and Mail series that found evidence of poor management and animal suffering at the THS.
“As of today, the Ontario SPCA has been overwhelmed by the number of people coming forward to make statements and share information helpful to the investigation,” said a statement released by spokeswoman Kristin Williams. “Hundreds of people have stepped forward to make statements and that in turn has caused the investigation to take longer than expected to complete.”
The THS's affiliate status with the Ontario SPCA has been suspended while the investigation is under way, removing its authority to conduct investigations into animal cruelty.
Ian McConachie, a spokesperson for the THS, said in an e-mail that the society had no comment.
Mr. McConachie has previously called the Ontario SPCA's investigation politically motivated.
The chairman of its board, Jim Sykes, is also the CEO of the Hamilton-Burlington SPCA. A libel suit launched by the THS against the Hamilton group remains unsettled.
