I think it is stupid that people can't dish out their own justice. Then you end up with people that think they can say insulting things and you can't do anything but ignore them. To me, if the person is a dick and they seem like they want to trade some punches, anything goes.

Then again you may have people with a retarded sense of justice.

government = violence of the state against the mob. Whether you are in a democratic or tyrannical state, if you mouth off against a cop, he will commit violence on you. Severity of it depends on what type of government although even in a democracy you can still get the Rodney King treatment.

But you can mouth off to a fellow citizen, knowing if the other guy throws the punch it'll be him who's in trouble.
