Sorry papa, I'm taken. :p
Nah, just curious why many have chosen the kid-free route. Most women do so because of either career or age...but why do men?

Aside from the fast that I am too much of a random person to have a responsibility like that work out well (for myself or the poor kid), I just don't connect with children.

Not married, but if I were, money would be the big obstacle.

Food, medical, clothing, college, etc. It's a whole other person's bills that you're paying for until they're 18. 21, really.

Here is a calculator for computing the cost of raising a child:

If kids make you happy, great. Good for you.

But I'm so sick of society saying that having kids is the only way to be truly happy for EVERYONE. And then flaunting their happiness (and their loud, obnoxious kids) in everyone else's face.

If I want to buy a house, I have to go through a very rigorous credit check to make sure I can afford it.

Why is there no credit check for expectant parents, when kids can end up costing more than a house?

I have built my business on being honest and for real, so I kind of take it as an insult when I get asked weither I really have an education and do not have children but at the same time I understand why there are these assumptions.
I'm sorry; I don't understand. Why would one assume that an educated woman has to have children? If one is to co-relate education with fertility rate, I'd argue that a more educated woman = higher level of career attainment and therefore delayed/no kids.

No I am not saying that. I am not attaching being educated with not having children. I said "I have built my business on being honest and for real, so I kind of take it as an insult when I get asked weither I really have an education and do not have children but at the same time I understand why there are these assumptions." to express that many seem to think that because I am an SP I am lying about my age, children and how much education I have.
Oh! Had a much curious unbelieving customer recently, i see? ;)

Y'know..that love can get very, very expensive. These days, daycare is about 1100/month. And then schooling (private schools are about 20,000), college tuition and board, personal sacrifice of time...I guess I'm selfish that I think of these things first and then 'kids are about love'. :)

Kids are certainly very expensive, and it is not the cash, it is the time. If I had put as much extra time into my career as I have into my kids, I would be King of the world now. But for me, I am glad I had the kids, it has been very worthwhile, more than anything else could have been for me.

I also resent people who think they are entitled to impose their kids on other people, or that having children makes you morally superior. The world would be a better place if responsible people had kids, and morons didn't, but society would have to change a lot for that to happen.

If your parents had that attitude, where would you be?

Exactly. Although having some and or lots of money makes raising children easier it can not prepare you for the job of parenting.

What is one who lives by these terms going to do when their child/children become 18 kick them out on their birthday? "Happy birthday son your out!" Or, "Happy birthday son sign this lease now, your officially an adult."

Kacy wrote- No I just think that the general perception of SPs is: 3-5 years off advertised age (in the + direction of course), 20 pounds more then advertised, low education (high school or less), a few children, and makes $150 K a year.

First of all how many kids you have or do not have, how much education you have etc is no ones business, a client either. Unless you are willing to reveal. Some people are just plan rude. I have been asked some really strange questions and trust me I am often surprised by them cause it's so off topic. I think, "are we not suppose to be getting down to passion?" Does it really matter what type of food white people eat, how much I make, why am I doing this when I like in CANADA a country of much opportunity and the list goes on. Or how about the famous one teh reason I do this is because I have a kid to support geeze. I mean some people just love to make an app to put others down. Then others wonder why some sps are bitches, act rude, have low self esteem or is bit insecure. I wonder? Dealing with this on a daily basis can drive anyone nuts.
