the NFL preseason starts tonight with the 49'ers and redskins. I don't know if anyoen else here watches football but I want to hear peoples superbowl picks.
mine is the 49'ers and Titans. the 9ers added just about everything they needed and the lack of a 2nd reciever means Terrel Owens will have no complaints about not seeing the ball. The Titans are a gut pick because ever AFC favorite is missing something, the titans will have an easier schedule then last year and they are much healthier.
I can't wait for the season to start.

It's the year for both of them. Donovan McNabb will be NFC-MVP.
Ricky Williams gives Miami the power-speed back they have been missing.

I'd love it if your right (I'm a huge eagles fan), but now that Hollis Thomas is out indefinatly they are really soft at defensive tackle (sign Sam Adams dammit!) Dolphins have a good shot.
I could always give fantasy football a try, whats the normal pool?

I like the Eagles also, but in the AFC I think it's time for the Steelers to make it through.

Fantasy football is a league whereby each player has a team made up of players from all teams. Each week you play another team in your league. You get points by having your players score points or make plays(tackles,interceptions etc). Add up the pionts each week and beat the team you are playing. Winner is the team in 1st place after 17 weeks. It's free and everything is done online. I will look at setting up a league if there is interest.

I know what it is, but some people do it like a football pool with cash weekly and a grand prize.

I like the Eagles in the NFC and the Raiders in the AFC. Two teams I'd look out for are the Ravens and the Chargers.

Cant bet against the Rams and AFC is a wildcard so I'd bet on Rams vs Colts. I think a terb fantasy pool would be hilarious so count me in.

Glavaman: Sure you already know this but the easiest pool to run is the survivor pool where you only have to pick one winner a week but cant repeat teams ... not my favorite pool but a very easy one to moderate. Otherwise we usually use cbssportsline.com or nfl.com who both have pool managers and automated drafts.

The Rams are always a good bet.
I believe that the NFL & CBS fantasy leagues are one in the same.
Sandbox runs a good one as well.

here's a twist to predictions, what teams will be this years bottom feeders?
my pick to fall the farthest is the New York Jets. They lost all their top DB's, stud O-lineman Ryan Young, their top draft pick is another undersized d-lineman meaning they'll be soft on the run and with Pennington breathing down Vinny's neck I think he'll really drop off.
Seahawks will crash and burn with a mediocre secondary in the NFC west.
Detroit will circle the bowl all year again.

considering the skins had there first team o-line in for the third quarter against the 3rd and 4th stringers they had better have looked good, the recievers were impressive though. Tim Rattay looked pretty good for the 49'ers as well.
