The gun is called the Velo dog, it was made for wealthy people in france when bicycles became popular. Dogs would go nuts when they saw a bicycle whizz by and attack the rider. The VeloDog gun was meant as a pocket pistol to be pull out in case the rider was attacked by a dog.
