Yet car manufactures every year make safer cars and if by any chance they make something try to make any vehicles that doesn't pass the guidelines set by the government they are not on the road. Not abiding by safety measures that are in place is the same thing.

2 reasons for that, first they are ineffective, just wash your hands. Second, if you buy quality disposable gloves the cost really adds up.

Work with one guy that bought boxes of gloves, cost about $150. Gone in 10 days, he puts on a new pair every 30 minutes. He also goes thru a gallon of hand sani in a week too. He is young and in the low risk category. Never seen such stupidity before. I think he is afraid of his own shadow too. His wife seems like a paranoid princess at the sametime

The New Normal is going to be a harm mitigation strategy. Life adapts. Society will either adjust to a much higher death rate (if that is the way the disease goes) or to changing social norms. Large gatherings will be less common. Mask wearing becomes more common. Hygiene standards change. Work patterns change as large groups in enclosed areas becomes considered stupidly risky.

Exactly how that all shakes out will depend on the country.
