Gave it a shot and lasted about 10 minutes.
Reminds me of "That 90's Show". That 70's Show was pretty good. I watched That 90's Show first episode. There were a few funny parts in the first episode, but it basically ends by Eric and Donna leaving their daughter for the summer with Eric's parents. It's a new cast of kids and non of them were funny at all. I won't be watching anymore episodes unless I hear some hype about it.

Didn’t know there was a “That 90s Show”, it sounds like a pretty weak idea, creative wise.

The new Night Court won’t last just like the “New WKRP” didn’t either…I think it’s hard to have a successful remake.

It's just dropped on Netflix like this week I think. The first episode was definitely weak, and I'm sure it only gets worse from there.

Watch the new Night Court try to bring in some older characters, such as Bull Shannon etc. to give it a boost before it just dies.....this is what happended to the New WKRP. Not even Dr. Johnny Fever or Jennifer Marlow could save that one.....

Even my wife who was sleeping and half awake in the next room could tell the show was awkward and forced. That 90's show was just as bad and Donna's plastic surgery look takes me right out of the show. Hollywierd is experiencing a crisis. Woke messaging is ruining their ability to gain an audience and celebrities are fleeing the state like nobody's business. The new mass media seems to be podcasts and tik tok videos and some of the shows that are in premium services like HBO. Network TV is dying a slow death.

I can't even remember the last time I saw a movie that came out and thought it was good. Top Gun Maverick was doing pretty 2/3rds the way through, and the movie just turned to shit. The last good work from Hollywood for me was the Narcos series. The first seasons of Cobra Kai work okay as well. Before Narcos it had already been 5 or 6 years since I saw anything I considered decent.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for Steven Spielberg's "Masters of the Air" series. It's akin to Band of Brothers and The Pacific.

Ok, watched it again…it’s not very funny…the laugh track is annoying…it sucks.
<Maniacal laughter>

Seriously they would be better with a live studio Ostrich.

All these old original shows were aimed at us when we were kids. Back when a nipple could still give us boner…. And we giggled at dirty jokes.

The remakes are not aimed at you me. They aimed at kids. The shows will have some campy lesson dressed in a real quagmire of a problem if the writers are any good.

If John Laroquet came back back to play the same character, at the same job, in the same court… what a waste. He should have been the Judge… shown some character growth, and wisdom, and perhaps drop the odd bombshell.

First show… I would have had Dan Feilding as Judge preparing for his disciplinary hearing, and sent to work Night Court as punishment. Instead of showing what the offence that got him there was, it would be a running joke.

That's been done. The show was The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret, starring David Cross.

The Twilight Zone, (1985-89), and The Outer Limits, (1995-2002), were both excellent remakes, but maybe anthology shows shouldn't count. Battlestar Galactica 2003-09 was good, and I liked the 2009-10 version of V, but it's easier to update/ re-imagine science fiction shows. Space Ghost - Coast to Coast and Harvey Birdman, Attorney at Law were good, but cartoons are different from a drama or a sitcom. I'll rule out game shows as well; the current version of Jeopardy! is better than the 1960's show. The new The Gong Show which aired a few years ago was terrible.

List of American Sequel TV Series

The 2017 incarnation of Twin Peaks had its moments. I can't say that any of the others on that list is any good, not including anthologies, sci-fi, and cartoons.

On the list you provided, I've never heard of most of those shows and haven't seen hardly any of them...I wonder why Magnum P.I and Hawaii 5-0 isn't on the list?

Whoever wrote the wikipedia page forgot to add those two shows.

Anyone can be a wikipedia editor. The important things are that you have to properly use the formatting tags, and your changes must be verifiable with a link to some other reputable online source, (this doesn't include minor edits, like correcting spelling and grammar errors). Wikipedia is not intended to be an online encyclopedia; it's just a repository of information that can be verified through online cross-referencing. If you were an eye witness to some unrecorded event, wikipedia would have no interest in your story, unless it was first published somewhere else, like in a book, newspaper, or magazine. One's personal blog, a message board, or a Twitter/ Facebook account would be insufficient for the cross reference link.

I wanted to add the list of performances from the 1978 UK music TV series Revolver from a text document prepared by a guy who made a DVD of the entire series, but that was rejected. I did, however, get as far as the appeal stage, where a retired wikipedia senior editor pops in once every couple of weeks to make final rulings on debatable criteria. Wikipedia is a very democratic organization, in the sense that behinf the scenes, someone will promptly answer questions that you have about making an information contribution, but once you're told something, even if that was years ago, you're expected to know it, and not make the same mistake twice.

I've successfully edited several wikipedia pages. My most notable addition was updating the filmography of 1974 Playboy Playmate of the Year Cynthia Wood's filmography to include her role as 'Playmate of the Year' in Apocalypse Now.

You have to jump through many more hoops to add information on imdb(dot)com. The only thing I've added there was the Tom Schiller 'Schiller's Reel' short film on Saturday Night Live, "While the City Sweeps", (1993). I was able to provide screen caps of the end credits, and an online link to the video, but it took multiple attempts before my edit was accepted, and approval took about a week.

I also have to say I'm surprised they didn't go the "dark and serious" route like they did with Bel-Air and Riverdale.

Jim and Sam are pulling lariats, they said Richard Moll (Bull) had passed away. I double checked, he's still alive and well.

I watched a bit of the new Night Court, I'm happy to report that the network made the show safe for kids. John Laraquette looked like he was reading from a teleprompter. It's still the highest rated show so far in the new year.
