I can see why Alfie is brandished as a villain in Leaf Nation. Especially in his earlier years, he was spunky and quite chippy. The mock stick in the crowd is probably what did it for Leaf fans. Oh, and Don Cherry (how exactly did he become a Leafs fan anyway?) referring to him on a national forum as Krusty the Clown. But that's what makes rivalries fun. C'mon Leafs, get at least respectable again so we can start hating you again! Go Sens Go!

I would also say Daniel is a class act - the last of the real team guys - will start and end his career with the team and the city loves.
Much like like Mats Sundin did. Nothing but respect for Sundin from this Sens fan.
I don't know if that was a sly dig but Sundin did not end his career with Toronto.

Ironhead this and Ironhead that, followed by Ironmoron ... lol.

Keep firing guys ...

Volchankov, jeez that guy must wear ice packs all over between games.
It looked for awhile like young Karlsson had coughed up the series.
LaClaire really come to play. Looking for that next contract. I think he might get it ... let see what happens Saturday night.
Spezza I thought played well.
Sutton was good tonight, better then game four. Seems to me that his hit in game three(?) shook him up more then the player he hit, mentally I mean.
The Clown was almost invisible tonight.

Malkin was cranking it up tonight. I was not really noticing him earlier in the series.
Crosby was great again.
Staal was a threat all game, damn I wish he would have scored.
Fleury was lights out. Hope he brings it again Saturday night.
Okay, CementHead.... is that better ?

Leclaire is signed through the 2010-11 season, so last night really won't affect contract negotiations tremendously.
Karlsson had the 2nd most ice time of any skater on either team last night.
It seems his coach has more faith in him, than a cementhead does.

Daniel Alfredsson had 4 blocked shots, an assist, and had more playing time than any other Senator skater, except Matt Cullen, and 2 defencemen (Phillips & Karlsson) . The Senators could use more invisible men like him.

Fleury had a decent game, hardly spectacular, only a .909 save percentage .

How's your crush on Alfie going these days ? :D

If true about LeClaire I was misinformed or misunderstood. Thought I heard CBC guys saying he is without a contract next season.
Karlsson coughed up the puck for Crosby's go ahead and potential series winning goal in the third. I was just commenting how he will likely never make that mistake again. However he did in OT, but, obviously, it did not cost the Sens that time.
The Clown, to me, was invisible. Yes I know he is hurt since Sid creamed him in that hit. He, the Clown, has been able to play since and was making decent plays but not in game five. Just my opinion, do not lose your marbles.

As for Fleury, I would take him ahead of any of Ottawa's goalies ... ever.

I wouldn't doubt that you were misinformed about Leclaire, Ironhead. The CBC coverage of the Ottawa/Pittsburgh series has been atrocious. Like don't they know that Sens fans hate hate HATE Bob Cole? I guess we can be thankful that they didn't bring Harry Neale out of retirement and threw us a bone with (sometimes Sens colourman) Garry Galley. It was a bit comical (if not a bit sad) when Garry started to side with the Senators in the overtime with an attempt to even out Cole's obvious bias. Hey, Bob ... this is Hockey Night in CANADA, not the Sidney Crosby Show. Last I heard, Ottawa is in Canada and Pittsburgh is not. And you, ex-Leaf Glenn Healey, enough with the Sidney tongue baths. We know he's good, now shut your trap!

Misinformed?

Cementhead, that is your life.

Misunderstood?

That is your relationship with Daniel Alfredsson.

Release your emotions, let the world know how you adore, admire, and so desperately want and need to feel the love of the great captain of the Ottawa Senators.

If you don't believe me, perhaps you'll believe NHLSCAP.COM : http://www.hockeybuzz.com/cap-central/team.php?team=OTT

I do not care for Capt Clown, however you seem to lick his balls at every opportunity. Get to it, to each his own.

Only 4 Euros in the Sens current line up!
Meaning what ?

True enuff. The rivalry just isn't that great as long as the Leafs remain irrelevant.
Just beat the Leafs once in the playoffs, just once. Is that asking too much ?

Rust creeping into the brain there, Cementy ? :D
Splain how cement would rust ?

Oh snap!!!

I forgot about that - he played last year (or half a year?) in Vancouver!

I stand by my statement though - I believe Sundin wanted to stay in TO but Burke didn't want anything to do with him right?
And lots of Leaf fans began blaming Sundin for the teams ills due to him not relinquishing his no trade clause right?

It's all coming back now.

Sure.
Whatever.

I am sure if Pens win tonight you'll be the first to gloat but I'm interested to hear if you'll even come back on here if Ottawa wins tonight?
Or even the series?

Yes I am a Sens fan.
Yes I truly hate the Leafs.

But I also tread in reality sir something you seem to avoid at all costs.

Hence, the cementhead, ironmoron, etc. comments.

Try to be realistic.

Will I come back on here if ... do you think by reading the words and crap from your Sens Love thread and all the names you call me somehow ............. hurts ... me ?
My point is why would I not come back on this forum ? I take everything from you and the other Sens fans with a grain of salt.
If the Sens win tonight and the series ... so what.

Avoid reality ... lol. You should read some of the crap you spew. You talk like the Ottawa Senators are Cup champs. One lucky run a couple seasons ago only to choke on the big stage. Get over it already.
And the way you go on about Capt Clown like he is a god or something. Do you worship him ? Is he your hero ? Is that it ?
Your hero worship of Capt Clown is cute.

Wow dude, do not take yourself so serious and relax a bit.

This post of your is full of so many double negatives and nonsense I can't even bother.

Seek help. You have a bi-polar disorder.

No matter how you slice it, you do not blow a 3-0 lead on home ice in an elimination game. It's one thing if it was a back and forth game with each team taking turns holding the lead but this?

Note to Sens management: Don't sign goalies with the initials "P.L.".

One post in 3 years and this is the best you can do?

Let me educate you a little then.

Leclaire did not cost them that game Neither did they ''blow'' it.

The Pens are stronger in every area than Ottawa and in the end it showed.
