Personally, American politics has never been very illuminating except in highlighting jingoistic vitriole and hate mongering. I guess some of the American posters on this board might give a rat's ass about all the spin on otherwise menial stories about the President's past, but as a Canadian, it just comes across as political mudslinging and character attacks. What I do feel comfortable saying is that unless it is being alleged that there was a blatant and extreme violation of both HLS and University rules on anonymous grading, even if the President did have strings pulled to gain admission to HLS (which would not shock me) he at least managed to keep his head above water for three years. Further, he was on Law Review, which (and I do not know about at HLS) is typically based upon your first year grades.

LOL. The GOP is about inventing fictionalized claims and criticisms that have no basis in reality. In fact I think it could be properly argued that Obama saved capitalism from the GOP. Instead of just spouting cliches why not give an example of his anti business bent. The GOP does not believe in capitalism for everyone they believe in capitalism for the rich and when that doesn't quite work out they believe in capitalism for everyone else and bailouts themselves.
