off topic, however

Argentina's govt was blotted and ineffective, it needed to be downsized

a 50% raise ? Sounds greedy on face value, however

So in real terms he has taken a pay cut

meanwhile since he took office

you ignore the impact of loonie left policies on inflation

blotted government, a lack of responsibility/ accountability and dogmatic adherence to a failed ideology
the problem with socialists is they always run out of other peoples money

this is the left
Wow, I can't believe anyone would take the stance of backing the crap going on in Argentina.
But you are larue.
You have to be wrong on every subject no matter what.

Yeah well, that's apparent in your posts.

Ramble on when challenged. Rightie tactics. 🐸

wtf ??

these are your positions
1. your bias permits you to ignore the fundamental pillar of sovereignty in order to support the assignation attempt on a Canadian citizen on Canadian citizen
2. your bias permits you to ignore the inflationary impacts of the carbon tax, despite the fact, the tax is designed to create inflation on energy, which drives general inflation
3. your bias permits you to ignore the impact of immigration on the housing crisis and productivity

you have been quite clear on all three of these issues

so you just insult and then run away when challenged

you are a child who has never gown up

Back to arguing for more austerity?
Just cuz its never worked, didn't work for Thatcher, Reagan or anyone else?

Why change when you can keep arguing to make the rich richer and then complain about how poor you are.

She sure does!

As she notes, the "normies" are just going about their business and lives. In the real, physical, world.

These "normies" just seem to get labelled as righties or leftards by those whose lives are governed by social media and, yes... internet forums, when someone agrees with a point that they disagree with. And vice versa.

For example, I have voted Conservative, Liberal and NDP over my lifetime. I have physically volunteered for a few Lib and Con candidates and even raised money for the old PC party in the Mulroney era. I liked and voted for local MP's for the PC's most of my life but voted for JT the last 2 elections. I won't vote for or against him this time. I actually like what Pollievre has to say most of the time. Although I hope he drops the extremist right wing schtick once he actually is in power and realizes the realities of a lot of the bs he says to not get attacked by our Canadian MAGA-idiots.

I liked Reagan, Obama, and Biden. Was not sure on the Bush's but despised Clinton. Despised Chretien. Despised. Wasn't really aware of politics during the Trudeau era but went along with my dad's lack of respect for him at the time. Now, 30-40 years later... I am happy that we have a Constitution and Bill of Rights because of Pierre Trudeau.

Trump? Saw right through that vapid con man back when his Art of the Deal book came out. Almost got fucked by him but avoided the deal on the advice of a lawyer who knew his M.O. Everything about him since has disgusted me. Never seen him do anything genuine except be a fucking selfish, malignant narcissist.

So... I, as a classic white man with all the privileges, grew up in the era where racism in Canada was still a big thing and being a 'fag' was about as low an insult as one could deliver.

And yet here I am, now in a much improved society , happy to accept those who are free to express and achieve for themselves and wanting to use my ward work and good fortune to support those who for whatever reasons are having a bad life.

I consider, discuss and accept/change my opinions on an issue by issue, case by case, day by day basis. Sometimes those thoughts align with the leftards, sometimes the righties!

Yet, it is only the right wing extremists who condemn me as a leftie/leftard when I say anything remotely not in alignment with their talking points.

The extreme lefties Ana refers to have really fucked things up for us "normies" who tend to be centrist but support a lot of liberal principles.

So yeah, I think she's right.

Thanks for tuning into my self-indulgent rant. I hope it creates some intelligent discussion back on the topic.
I will add, and this is not the first or second time I’ve said this . While I didn’t agree with all policies or even maybe half.

I miss both Obama and Jack Layton. The world could use a dose of both these days.

ok
you seem reasonably balanced and able to judge character independent of left vs right political positioning

please let us know your opinion of Justin Trudeau ?
and
Do you believe having a famous last name is sound criteria for selecting a leader?

I am not interested in starting an argument with you, rather I am respectfully interested in your views on Justin Trudeau

Yeah, Joe's going to be impeached........ Well wasn't he going to be impeached for sure absolutely back in 2021, 2022 and 2023?? But for sure this year, right Orry?

At the end of the day, if you compare Trump's accomplishments during his presidency to Biden's, Trump accomplished much more.
I had provided a list to a reference outlining 100+ accomplishments that were even fact checked for accuracy.
Anyone want to provide a similar list for Biden?
Lots of laughs here but zero factual comebacks.
Yeah, that's what I thought.

Trump does not have any policies. He’s on a sick psychopath revenge path. That’s all there is to it.
Trump's policies are to become a dictator, lock up Bezos, Musk, Gates, and Buffett in a room on the 45th floor with open windows, and forcefully get them to sign over %55 of their wealth to Trump. Trump will have oligarchs just like Putin.

I think that we are all being played by our owners

the difference between left and right is that the left think that only Trump is the bad guy

while most people on the right see that both Biden and Trump are unfit to be the president
So the magic 8 ball then? It's the lesser of 2 evils or wasting a vote on someone like Jill Stein or JFK Jr...

Ana Kasparian is a Feminist. She resents the drowning out of feminist issues during the past 10 years on the Left.
She's not near the threat to Biden that the Gaza situation is. Going to great lengths to ship in supplies on one hand and continuing the unrestricted delivery of weapons to one side (the geno-side?) is alienating more voters every day.

Maybe provide something that doesn't require a subscription? Shouldn't be too hard to find right?
while it’s nowhere near this simple Biden started in 2020.
Correct?

Right around the time economies bottomed out.
correct?

Either way, they’ve managed to change the channel.
Correct?

So that is what am asking for. Give me that link which you are talking about.
Well I have already provided the link in a previous thread so I have already demonstrated that I have the info to back up my claim and have already said I can provide it again.
I am confident of that.
Where is your info? That is my point.
Show me.

Accomplishment transcend just economic trends. Almost every administration for decades has either inherited a good economy and it became worse during their tenure, or vise versa. That is a moving target and only one piece of the picture and has a lot of moving parts.
There are other accomplishments that are not solely based on the state of the economy within a 4 year window.
