trump and the present form of plutocracy is the end result of Citizen's United, which allowed the rich to buy politicians.
trump is the problem now, but the dismantling of democracy started way before.
I agree, that's what I meant about the umbrella.
Citizens are getting fucked on every level, in their daily lives. As much as I support those protests, I can't help but think that it serves as a convenient distraction from the daily misery inflicted by those same politicians on their own citizens.

But the domestic stuff has gone off the rails so hard and so fast in the last 15 - 20 years, ever since CU.
I'm all for the protesting obviously but it seems like everything else is being swept under the rug because it's not as dramatic or conspicuous.
Really, it seems to be the ultra rich that are fucking everything up.
Palestine, climate change and killing democracy.
We really are getting close to an eat the rich moment.
