This reminds me of a UFO encounter back in th early 70's. It seems a man was visited one day by some aliens who landed in his back yard. They said nothing to him but handed him a plate with Pancakes (buckwheat I believe) covered with syrup and then left.

He reported it to the authorites who had the expected reaction.

The strange thing about this case is this: If this man was a phoney why include the bit about the pancakes? Would this not make the story completely unbelievable?

If this was an authentic case if alien contact-why pancakes would these aliens come all this way just to deliver pancakes?

Apparently they were normal, everyday buckwheat pancakes. What I am saying is that as unbelievable as the story is the gift of pancakes kind of makes you wonder what is going on. Why pancakes? Why not just a visit from aliens? It makes the story absurd and yet also makes me wonder....
