Just want to thank the Canadians for bringing a little Christmas joy to us cold and lonely Detroiters.

Guy LeFleur's comments about them having "four fourth lines" was very much on display last night. I particularly appreciated their very clean play in the neutral zone where they stead fastly refused to hinder Datsyuk or Zetterberg in anyway, shape or form.

Thank you Montreal.

On a more serious note, that was the first time in four years that these two original six teams have met and I for one consider that a disgrace.

I thought Detroit played the Canadiens last night.

What would Saku say? ;)

Ya that was a sad display. I'm a big Hab's fan but man if there is one team in the league that anyone should model themselves after, it's Detroit. Year after year, they are one of the best teams out there. I truly thought after Yzerman retired, Shanahan left, and Lang left that they would finally suck, man was I wrong. Kudos to the organization for being a strong contender year after year.
