A celebrity changing his stripes to find a new audience is not really grifting, maybe 25 years ago it would qualify as grifting. NFT, Crypto, Tai Lopez, Bitconnnnneeeccccttttt, etc... have set the grifting bar very high, lying for more viewership does not register on the grift-o-meter.

Running the outrage machine for cash and following your audience into nuttiness is absolutely a thing and it can go in either direction.
It's all about "this is what my audience wants to hear, give them more of it".

There's a larger audience for this kind of thing on the right these days, but in a country of over 330 million, you can find a good batch of people to fleece in almost any mode.

Pakman used to have ads/sponsorship for financial products like crypto and some art investment BS, but he stopped doing that now, to me it shows that money is a big motivator for him.

Kyle, as far as I know, has never taken a sponsorship or ran an ad of any kind, or asked for donations on his YouTube videos. Money is not the motivation for him, I think he is just doing what he thinks is right.

The rest of the bunch I have no idea as I do not watch them.
