Steven Soderbergh's film starring Sasha Gray has been turned into TV Series starring Elvis's grand-daughter. Last time we saw Riley Keough she was part of Immortan Joe's treasures in Mad Max Fury Road. If it's an American show I have my doubts. Their Puritan tradition makes sex themed shows awkward - look what happened to the American version of Skins. 13 episodes have been produced but it may not last beyond S1.

I browsed through the cast for anyone of note.

Paul Sparks who played Mickey Doyle in Boardwalk Empire and comic Mary Lynn Rajskub are involved. Also Canadian actor Micheal Thierreult who did an epic portrayal of Tommy Douglas in Prairie Giant.

Look forward to it. Remember "Secret diary Of A Call Girl"? That only lasted 4 seasons and it was British TV.

The problem with these shows dealing with sex, is that they hardly show you any sex. If the premise of the show is sex, porn, escorts, then you need to show it. You need to show sex. No sense panning the camera elsewhere when people are fucking, or blurring the scene, covering up breasts with sheets (since nobody does that), etc. I just hate it when they show a couple in bed after sex with the covers covering the buys lower half and covering the girls upper half. After sex I am usually spread out naked, same as the girl.

Actually the opposite is true. As far as storytelling goes, there's no real need to show the actual sex. It's pointless and wastes time. If you're interested in making an actually good television show, there's no need to include actual sex in it. Shows like Game of Thrones just use it to build popularity, be edgy/different, etc. (although that's probably a bad example, as it is sometimes used to drive the narrative. But you get my point.)

I agree. If there's too much sex in a film I feel I might as well watch a porn. Too many extended sex scene districts from the story line. If they had a movie about a box maker. I would not want to watch that person for 45 minutes in factory. I'd be more interested in the life and the persons story. One word "caligula"

I agree with you and not the anti sex and nudity whiners.

Lol. I met some folks making this film last summer or spring, I believe, when they were doing the shooting in TO haha.

In fact, one of the scenes is taking place at Thompson Hotel where I met them (and where that stuff probably happens daily and many times as well) and we were joking about it.
Plus it kinda stroked me too thinking "Oh la la, I can prolly give them me some material from my hobbying experience too" lol

In any case, looking forward checking in out anyway, it is also very clear from these teaser that the filmed at Toronto Reference Library too.
