The women were forced to live in Toronto hotel rooms and abide by strict rules while under Burton’s control, including sexually servicing a varying number of men before they were allowed to eat, having unprotected sex up to 10 times a day and not being allowed to leave or enter a room without kissing his “pimp ring,” according to police evidence at the trial.
