So you're agreeing the voters in Alaska are essentially being bought off and don't care who represents them?Aardvark154 said:Ah, but if the voters of the U.S. don't give a damn, why should the voters of Alaska?
I'm saying since apparently the majority of U.S. voters don't give a damn. Why should the voters of Alaska be held to a higher standard?Asterix said:So you're agreeing the voters in Alaska are essentially being bought off and don't care who represents them?
They are not.Aardvark154 said:I'm saying since apparently the majority of U.S. voters don't give a damn. Why should the voters of Alaska be held to a higher standard?
Because they are benefitting from the federal trough like no other State. Let's remember Palin campaigned for the Bridge to Nowhere as part of her bid for Governor. When the press got bad she backpeddled, but still kept all the money earmarked. Politics in Alaska is a cesspool.Aardvark154 said:I'm saying since apparently the majority of U.S. voters don't give a damn. Why should the voters of Alaska be held to a higher standard?
And yet McBush & Ditzy Sarah call that cesspool she helped create, 'her reforming Alaska'!.....Asterix said:Because they are benefitting from the federal trough like no other State. It was what I kind of expected, a brief apperance. That turns the joke on Tina Fey, to show Sarah Palin is a good sport about the skits on her.Kailani said:Okay I've just watched Sarah Palin and didn't know what all the hype was about... kind of boring. Plus she inturrupted Tina Fey.
Those 2 whining sluts must have been shot down by Sarah when they tried to have sex with her. Who says they know anything anyway? They hate all Alaskan politicians, they said it in the vid. Bitter lil bitches .........WoodPeckr said:In defense of American women
Two young women from Alaska give the low down on Sarah Palin, the secret of her "popularity" as governor and how she destroyed the city she was mayor of.
Are we sure they are even residents of Alaska? If so, they certainly have a bright future there.slurp said:Those 2 whining sluts . . .hate all Alaskan politicians, they said it in the vid.
Spoken like one who knows what happens in a State run by corrupt GOPers....Aardvark154 said:Are we sure they are even residents of Alaska? If so, they certainly have a bright future there.
I HAVE lived in states (yes, plural) run by corrupt DemocRATS. Try it sometime ..........WoodPeckr said:Spoken like one who knows what happens in a State run by corrupt GOPers....

Man, you got the DemocRAT catch phrases and cliches down pat! Reading your posts is like subscribing to DemocRAT talk radio. Have you had any moments where you can't remember where you've been in the recent past?WoodPeckr said:Hey the GOP does corruption BIGTIME as DICK is known to mention now and then.
Then there's that past 8 year GOP 'Culture of Corruption'!
Yep the GOP and friends in Halliburton, Wall St, et al.....do corruption right....
Humm, he's a producer for Air America - that explains a lot.slurp said:Man, you got the DemocRAT catch phrases and cliches down pat! Reading your posts is like subscribing to DemocRAT talk radio. Have you had any moments where you can't remember where you've been in the recent past?
Article I, § 3, clause 4 "The Vice President of the United States shall be the President of the Senate. . ."Asterix said:Asked today by a student what the job of the Vice-President was, Palin repiled that the VP was in charge of the Senate. Well, no, sorry Sarah. You can almost hear the supporters of McCain seeping away.
The Vice President presides over the Senate, which basically means they show up when it looks like they might have to cast a deciding vote in a 50-50 tie vote among Senators. In no way shape or form is the VP in charge of the Senate, and has no real authority in how the Senate conducts it's business. Sarah got it wrong.Aardvark154 said:Article I, § 3, clause 4 "The Vice President of the United States shall be the President of the Senate. . ."
Article I, § 3, clause 5 "The Senate shall choose their other Officers, and also a President pro tempore, in the Absence of the Vice President, . . .
Care to reconsider the above statement?
Oh, by the way remember when Senator Biden was all over the idea of the Vice-President as a member of the Legislative Branch.
Article I , § 1 "All legislative Powers herein granted. . ."
Article II, § 1 "The executive Power shall be vested in a President of the United States of America. . ."
