The Americans have some really smart ambitious people, but unfortunately they are outnumbered by about 1,000 to 1 by the the really dumb and stupid and ignorant.

What amazes me the most about British politics is how completely treasonous British politicians are.
May has more problems fending off members of her own party than members of the opposition. In Canada, it seems to be a far stricter system. if the PM calls for a vote along party lines, you don't dare cross him because if you do, you're thrown out of caucus. End of story. (Whipped vote?? Correct me if I am wrong.)
You certainly never see members of any party speaking out in public and in the media in Canada against the leader of their party like you do in Britain.

That is actually not a bad mix, you cannot have too many smart people as nothing gets done or decided. If you look at Russia, incredibly educated yet they trip over each other constantly
Britain has a much looser model of Parliamentary solidarity then Canada which is actually closer to a dictatorship.
He and danmand don’t have many cards in their deck which is why they play the same few so often.
