Its a really stupid suit, made even more stupid by Pence's statements that he's against it.
Though what would be very entertaining would be if it were granted after Jan 20 and Harris could choose the next POTUS, not that this case will go anywhere.

I can't imagine that anyone thinks it has any chance of success. It just serves to keep up the illusion to the rubes and dupes that their $$$$$$$$$ is being put to good use, as opposed to being spent on Melania's shopping trips or Donny Jr's coke habit.

The Obese Turtle is definitely lining his pockets with the dumbass's donation but I think he himself believes he may still have a slight chance at maintaining power. To the point he has pissed off even Pence and caused the VP to slip his head and fly out of the Turtle's fat diapered ass.

I may have said it before but the most amazing and sad part of this entire thing is that otherwise smart people are taking positions that they know to be ludicrous in order to please their fearless leader. In normal times these types of things would not happen because you likely couldn't find anyone to take them seriously.

This is they great dumbing down of America and the soon to be former sorest loser in the world in chief just keeps saying things that are more and more ludicrous because he can and because he knows his lemmings will repeat and adopt them. just ask dutch or oracle or the others who seem at least superficially intelligent.

Most are just trying to grab a large percentage of Trumps cult base. They know he has no chance but it may suit their political asperations to project they support Trump, especially if they are contemplating a run in 2024.

70% of registered Republican rank & file poll as believing that Biden scammed the election win. Now whether that's an HONEST reflection of whether so many actually believe that horseshit can be debated. But there's at least a performative element to stating that you believe the Dems stole the election.

So performing rituals consistent with that belief and applauding when those rituals are performed appears to be the new normal in the GOP.

I don't believe those polls...that 70% of Republicans believe it was a steal.

There are many people in the US whose families have voted GOP for 100 years. They don't follow CNN or Fox News. They just go and vote GOP every couple of years and then go home and make dinner. My sister lives in MO and my niece's in laws just automatically vote GOP. They grasp onto the few items where Trump can be presented as a success and use it to explain that he's a good leader - i.e. the Israel - Egypt deal. The block out or minimize all his graft and fuck ups.

There are parts of the country where it is considered treason to vote Dem - i.e OK, WY, KY, AB. You're like those arrogant, fake, pervert, commie folks in NYC or LA. Or you're a Yankee who hates the South.

The current GOP appeals to less educated, less urban whites in the South and farm states. So you're already pitching at folks who follow politics less closely than urban professionals.

The US is in love with its own mythology - that of self-starting, free enterprise loving, rugged individualists and anything that taints that image is unAmerican. So it's easy to pitch that the Dems are unAmerican when they suggest state health care.

The GOP has cut a deal with the Evangelicals and their followers live in a total alternate reality fuck-world.

None of this explains Dutch or Oracle. Possibly a skilled brain pathologist can dissect them post mortem and publish a ground-breaking paper in the medical journal.

Those are party members, not the unaligned who voted GOP last November. And again, there may be a performative aspect to this polling.

I just watched The Social Dilemma.
Its worth watching as a reminder that on social media users are the product and their goal is keep you there clicking, so they push the most extreme items as they are the most likely to get people clicking.
Conspiracy theories keep people posting, that sells ads and changes behaviours.

The numbers who believe Trump won are a symptom of partisanship, the same ideas that has already lead other countries into civil wars.
Social media on phones has only been around for 10 years now, don't underestimate how much its changed the way people think.
Really, social media are run by AI who are essentially reprogramming users by what they see in their feed.
