Ask the Who or the Rolling Stones.
Yes....but the Who or Rolling Stones never broke up in the 70's, swearing never to play together again.

When I saw them the 1st time they toured, they called it the "Hell freezes Over" tour, in reference to a comment that Don Henley made after the Eagles broke up originally. "Next time we tour will be when Hell freezes over" swore Don.

I never got to see them in their glory years, so, when they re-grouped, I paid huge money for virtually front row seats because I thought I was seeing something special that would not be repeated...once the tour was over that would be it for the Eagles.

Apparently, I had several more chances...lol....

this and other groups like the Rolling Stones are perfect examples of dim wits with too much money and not enough brains trying to recapture their youth from the Paleozoic era of music, thinking what they created is the ultimate pinnacle of humanity's achievement, while bad mouthing the youth of today.

Bon Jovi has been back even more times.
Huh? Bon Jovi never broke up or announced a farewell tour. Bad analogy.

I remember seeing the Eagles farewell tour - back in 1994.

If people are going to keep paying them a bajillion dollars a year, who's to argue that they shouldn't keep taking it.
