Who have you been talking to? They are collectables, and in good condition are fetching a good buck. At least they had more of the original styling in them, than the Fox body did. It didn't look anything close to a Mustang, and that's why Ford went back to a retro style, to bring the fans back.
GM had great styling in the Monza, and there wasn't anything wrong with the Vega either. The new Camaro concept brings life back to the car with the 60s look, like the Mustang has. It looks better than any 70 plus Camaro.
Chrysler made a mistake in calling a 4 door a Charger, (who wants a 4 door General Lee or Daytona for that matter?) even though I like it's 50s leadsled styling and but the Challenger concept is hotter.
These new concepts will sell to Baby Boomers, who owned one, or always wanted one.
