Bush still has 70 days to make his legacy worse. Having lived it, we may lack perspective as to "worst." In the next 10 weeks I will be looking at the following to see if they could possibly have been as bad:
James Buchannan - Failed to stem the conflicts that grew into the Civil War;
Franklin Perce - Another Antebellum failure;
James Polk - Mexican War, a dark chapter in US history unless you are a fan of bullies.
Warren Harding - Possibly even more prone to insider dealings than Dubya, may bear a lot more responsibility for the Great Depression than H. Hoover.
