No, the one at the corner of VP and Lawrence.....said it was closing for renovations.....that was before summer i think....no ones been near it since.....rumour is it's been sold.

Californias has a pretty mean steak on a bun. It bites sometimes, that's how mean it is.

I vote for Masters. However, you guys should know they sell cheap steak cause the meat is from dairy cows. It's still AAA but a little on the tough side cause they're used first for milk and then secondary for meat.

I know this place. Good food, but I never tiried the steak sandwich.

Steak Queen when i was a teenager was great as well as Johnny's .

Both serve them with a full 8oz. New York steak, not sliced, which is the only way IMO.
