HI I am an SP coming into TO to work, and I am looking for the best place to advertise in the city, while making myself noticable, but not too noticable that I attract trouble. Any suggestions?

Probably right here would be the best sight, once you create a website with pictures & information ie. stats, donation, and attach it to your profile, the TERB community will probably rush to look at you site.Thank you, I was told about this site, so it is the hottest one to advertise on these days. I was also told about the red zone, any news on that one?

So, no one has heard of Platinum. I guess they are new. I saw that they were advertised in the eye and that they are looking for girls.
I have tried a few other agencies before, however, they did not seem to be very busy. I won't name them, but they just did not seem to be cutting it.
Is that something every agency goes through, due to competition maybe, there are alot of agencies around.........anyways, they all seem to want an initial investment of anywhere from $100-$300, and I am a little skeptical of that. I am new to TO and sometimes feel as though I am being taken advantage of. Anyone know if this is common practice?

TD: I've never heard an agency charging you to work for them....even initially. Select, hollywood, cupids candies, garden of eden and toronto passions are all reputable agencies. There are pros and cons to working indie or through an agency.
You could start by listing yourself in the sp directory here at terb, that will be a start until you can get a website set up.
Word of caution: we can be like sharks during a feeding frenzy if a newbie comes on and sets their rates outside the average going rates in the city (which is from $200 - $250.00) WHile there are some that set their rates higher, they can demand higher rates due to reputation, quality of service, etc.
We can also suggest some really good photographers if you don't have any of your own. About photos: there have been some discussions on here about quality shots. I think the general consensus was that better quality photos will increase your exposure (no pun intended lol) and traffic to your site.
Oh yeah, almost forgot, we also hold terb parties where hobbyists and sp's can meet in a neutral fun atmosphere. With the upcoming holiday season there is bound to be a Christmas Party (gasp, did I just say CHRISTMAS???) happening. Those are great ways to introduce yourself to the terb community.
