The 5 Post Rule: Redux

This thread brings back memories of me coming over here just to think up anything to get my 5 posts in. I was purposly finding things on the net to post unlike now I surf lots and contribute what I do find interesting and respond to mostly my subscribed threads. Then I was searching for anything on the board I could relate to so ever so desperatly. After that I did get into the swing of things and got addicted. What is funny is that my posts were so very low and slow in coming back then.
Terb should have an anniversay party sometime. Is Terb 10 years old yet or turning sometime soon? What is the official opening date?

Damned if I post; damned if I don't...
With the excepetion of once or twice, each time I have attempted to post & participate in a discussion I have been accused (quite aggressively) of trying to get free advertising here on TERB. That just the action of posting is alerting TERBites to my existance, and therefore my business. Conveniently for these accusers, it not only disarms & invalidates my opinion on the subject being discussed, but it also makes me look bad. After the last occurance of this, quite some time ago, I decided to not participate more than as a viewer.
Does this minimum only apply to the guys? Or is it across the board?
To the best of my knowledge I have only encountered two TERBites outside of TERB. One of them "suggested" particular services at particular rates in lieu of a bad review. I of course refused to meet with him and forwarded his emails directly to Fred.
I am not eager to participate anymore, short of protecting my privacy from "gentlemen" of the sort mentioned above who employ these & other tactics.

Five Post per Month Rule
I was just reading the rules and ran across the 5 post/month rule (implemented back in 2004 when there were only about 9,600 registered members) and am wondering if this rule is still in effect. (Thought this would be appropriate for my first post)
