Tony Soprano said revenge is best served with cold cuts.

Vlady is in the same place as Erling Haaland. He signed with Manchester City to spite United. Roy Keane tore up his father's knee Inge Haaland with a scissor tackle. The elder Haaland played for City, Erling has been punishing them ever since. Vlad Sr was set to sign with the Yankees, they reneged and Sr signed with the Angles. Vlady loves hitting against the Yankees, home and away.

Because it's the playoffs is exactly why you pull him. He also said that the top of the order was coming (third time through). He wasn't going to pitch a complete game no-hitter. Why keep him in for a couple of extra outs? You want him at his best in case the series ends up going to game 5.
Ummm perhaps because he was untouchable? I just feel it was a premature pull. And having to use a number of bullpen arms was pointless when you have such a good outing from your starter. Not to mention this is a 22 year-old phenom and he only threw 77 pitches. The kid was making history and I don't agree with the move. The Yankees have a potent offense and they can put up runs in a hurry. There needs to be a bigger sense of urgency in the ALDS. There's a lot on the line here.

Seriously, Schneider should be walking on eggshells at this point regarding who he pulls in the playoffs and when. The Yankees scored seven runs as a result. Imagine Vladimir didn't hit that grand slam? This could have turned out very ugly. And we all know about the epic fails from the past where Schneider's pulling of pitchers has been under very close scrutiny. Schneider touches things too much in the playoffs and he needs to chill out and let things ride. Like Buck Martinez has said in the past regarding Schneider being a little too quick to pull the trigger and pull pitchers, "trust your eyes." Yesavage is the miracle Cinderella story that might carry this team into a World Series. Give the analytics a rest and let things just happen.

While stumbling his words in the post game press conference, Schneider came up with "I wanted him to get a standing ovation for the job he did" regarding why he pulled him. What the hell are you talking about dude this is the ALDS buddy.

I didn't see that post-game interview. I was just sharing my opinion of why I thought they took him out early. Also, I was watching it on a Fox feed and the commentator said the same thing.

When I went to LA this summer, my family that works for the Dodgers gave me a Dodgers Hernandez bobble head. It's on my TV stand in my living room lol. He is the man.

That oblique strain he had this year affected his play for quite a while.

tues: Rodon vs the Biebs
Rodon has a loss and a ND vs jays this season
Wankees havent seen the Biebs since 2023.

Judge is 0 for 7 against Biebs , career
Stanton is 2 for 9 against Biebs, career
Cody iBellinger s 0 for 3 sgainst Biebs , career
Jazz Jizzum jr is o for 3 against Biebs, career
Trent Grsham has never faced Biebs
He owns them.

I am confident Biebs will take care of business on Tuesday
Our bench players' hitting and defence are better than the Wankees

Is it true that Vlad insulted Judge? If so, In old time baseball, Vlad can expect to get knocked down by a high hard one a la Bob Gibson.

I was thinking he pulled him to save his arm for the future games. Not to give the bullpen a workout.

But yeah, another inning likely wouldn't have hurt the arm of a 22 year old. He is hot stuff, and on fire for sure! Was so nice to see his shy smile break out when he finished pitching. He knew he did a good job. That's a lot of pressure for a 22 year old!
I think Schneider was concerned that 3 x through the Yanks' order, the better hitters would pick up on Trey's release point and start hitting him and the kid didn't have the experience or poise to cope with that. Hence the pull.

Schneider gave him one extra batter in the sixth for the applause instead of being pulled after 5

classy move

That's an awesome photo. I've been seeing a lot of Blue Jays in my neighborhood lately flying all around my house. Hopefully that's a sign. Perhaps I wasn't very perceptive to it before, but I don't recall seeing so many Blue Jays around my neighborhood in the past. I am seeing them everywhere. Literally all the branches of all the trees filled with Blue Jays lately.
