One of two things will happen, if it continues to be successful... the torpedo bat that is.
1) It will either be banned, or at least minimized it how much diameter outliers there can be in the middle of the bat,
2) Everyone will copy it. (Or is this particular bat proprietary to the Yankees for a period). Either way other companies will copy it
I suppose it could just be a hot streak, That being said the theory sounds so good -- yet so simple, which makes you wonder why it has never been done in prior years by other organizations. The advanced bat/ball speed analytics they now have and ability to show where it is was hit off the bat seem like a perfect match.
