Anyone have any experience with this app? I've tried texting a bunch of SP's from LL with this app (didn't want them to see/use my real number) and only one responded. Not sure it because half the SP's on LL are flakes or if it's an issue with app.
How would they know you're texting from an app ?A lot of sp's dont respnd to messages from texting apps which could be a reason why you didnt get many responses
How would they know you're texting from an app ?
There are websites where you can look up the carrier for a phone number. Real phones are on Bell, Rogers, etc. and apps show up as something else.
Not exactly sure how they know but i think a lot of texting apps have different area codes that are not as common as the standard (i.e. 416,905,647). I contacted an sp through a text app that had an area code that i thought was uncommon- didnt get a response. Contacted an sp with my personal phone that had a more common area code- got a response almost immediately. How would they know you're texting from an app ?
That would mean googling every single number from a text they get each day. Seems like a waste of timeThere are websites where you can look up the carrier for a phone number. Real phones are on Bell, Rogers, etc. and apps show up as something else.

Yes, many do. Any text that they are considering answering gets checked first. It takes ten seconds once you're used to it.There's no way SP's are going on a website to verify phone numbers from every text they get...lol.
I've found that real cell numbers show up on Whatsapp while apps (and landlines) do not. This the exact question I was going ask, which is also what I was wondering about why I'm not getting responses.
Now I'm curious. Where are these websites?Yes, many do. Any text that they are considering answering gets checked first. It takes ten seconds once you're used to it.
