Text Apps - Aren't all texts sent in apps?

Recently I had a strange experience where an escort almost declined booking me, saying I was messaging from a text app. I was using my burner phone but sending from the default Android messages app that I use to book everyone. I suddenly realized everything on smart phones is an app. Text messages are sent via an app. Phone calls are sent using the Phone app.

...so how can I make sure I'm sending texts in a way that doesn't appear to be "from a text app". What text-sending apps don't appear to be a "text app".

I always thought they meant something like WhatsApp. I was using the regular old app to send texts.

She probably thought your burner number looked like it was it was from text free or whatever free apps are out there. I’ve yet to be called out on it.

You won’t get an answer as to how we know when you are using a text app bought from an App Store or your phones messaging system. But we won’t tell you how we know.

If you were using a normal carrier like bell or Rogers or their sub companies like Telus, Fido, wind or Kodoo then that should be fine. If not, there is your issue.

Burner phones are detectable as well in some circumstances . Just saying.

I'm only realizing now that my question may have come across as "How do I get away with using a text app?" instead of the intended "how do I ensure I make escorts comfortable by doing exactly what they want me to do". I hope it came across as intended. Regardless, good point and I'm totally okay with not getting an answer if that answer could be misused by people looking to avoid detection. Escort safety is primary.

It is not a secret how to do this. Just google free carrier look up and choose one of the 1000 free look up tools.
E.g. https://textrapp.com/free-carrier-lookup-tool/ or https://freecarrierlookup.com/
They will name the carrier for the number.

I think a quick way to check is you can’t add such number on WhatsApp.

That is not full proof since many people don't have WhatsApp downloaded on their phone.

Unfortunately older non smart phones which are safer appear as "apps." Pick up your phone. Texting is sick. Literally driving milions insane. I have sent 2 people in the last 2 years for texting related mental illness.

- It could be the number assigned to you which doesn't reflect GTA or surrounding area codes - like 416 or 647.
- You could use text app number lookup tools that are available online.
- You could use carrier look up tools
- There are tools like Truecaller that can identify caller ID. Usually if you are using a burner phone, or a textapp number there may be a mismatch or no results returned.
- Some phones have caller ID apps integrated - my Samsung phone has Hiya that can identify caller id.

It all depends how busy the girl is. Even if she says no text apps, she may still reply. Hungry girls still gotta eat! All this hoop jumping to check the number gets tiring really quick when all you hear is crickets all day long.

She could have just searched the wrong number, accidentally hitting a 3 instead is a 4 or a 2 for example.

Yes that's pretty much it. As noted above there are various services to look up your carrier and determine if you're using a text app or a real phone number. However sometimes the info they have is inaccurate and they mistake a real number for a text app.

Also it seems like you're not really sure what "text app" means. Since a text app is it's an app that generates a new phone number - and I'm instead using a phone number provided by my regular phone carrier - that definitively proves I should not have been told I was using a "text app". Yes, in the moment she said "text app" I realized everything on a phone is an app (text messages, phone calls, emails... it's all apps) so I realized I didn't know the true definition of "text app" and you provided it to me so now I understand. Thank you.
