Has Terb been infiltrated by Young Republicans, who are using the board for their propaganda purposes?

Americanson, apart from a question about Kaseys Kittens and one or two posts about STD, has submitted over 350 posts of neo con propaganda.

I have come in the possession of a top secret document cronicling the creation of the "Perverts for Bush" wing of the young republican organization.

After the last election, it was determined that the perverts (admittedly a wide group under republican definition) overwhelmingly refused to vote for Bush. Actually, if the pervert vote had been evenly divided, Bush might have won the election.

Therefore, on an initiative of Dick Cheney, it was decided to set up "Perverts for Bush" to bring the perverts to vote republican.
Of the many many applicants, only the most dedicated and morally stable young republicans were allowed into the organization. They were put through a gruelling aptitude test, where among other things they were forced to sleep a whole night in the same narrow bed with a naked virgin republican of the opposite sex. They were of course given extensive counseling.

These brave soldiers for republicanism are now infiltrating smut and pervert chatrooms and public forums everywhere.

The attraction is that on this board there is some level of intelligence and decorum. But I originally came here for the reviews, but have stayed for the politics.....

danmand,

If you are going to use the neo con term why don't you tell us the difference between a conservative and a neo con and then apply that definition to the posts you object to. Hint, americanson's obsession with Nixon would not be a neo con perspective.

Lemme give this a try:

Conservative: One who ascribes to conservative economic theory, traditionally referred to as the "right." Examples: Eisenhower, Nixon, Bill Davis (former premier of Ontario), Joe Clark, Tony Clement, George Bush Sr. (maybe... not sure), The Green Party.

Neo-con: One who ascribes to conservative economic and social darwinism theory. Examples: Stockwell Day, Dubya, Ronald Reagan, Mike Harris/Ernie Eves (they're actually the same guy, just a different "Mission Impossible" rubber mask), Margaret Thatcher, Rush Limbaugh, Anne Coulter. The only true Marxists left.

Centerist: One who ascribes to neither right nor left exclusively, but uses both sets of theories to achieve maximum social and economic benefit. Examples: Tony Blair, David Miller, Paul Martin, Indira Gandhi, John Kerry.

Lefties: One who ascribes to socially constructed and generally, but not exclusively, government-driven economics. Examples: Pierre Trudeau, Bob Rae, Michael Moore (yes, really), Martin Sheen (in real life, not in The West Wing).

Left wing wackos: The left's answer to neo-cons. Examples: Al Franken... hmmm... can't come up with any more as I sit here...

OK, maybe not wackos. Maybe just "lefties" would have done the trick, though that's usually a baseball term.

I don't know about Svend. I think he's more of a centrist than people believe, but I honestly don't know that much about him other than his forays into the media spotlight.

I was hoping to see if danmand could define the term he was using. If you think Reagan was a neo con you don't understand it very well.

The Green Party is conservative LOL? The term conservative has nothing to do with environmental conservation.

Unless you are talking about the party of green little Aliens from Costa Rica ;)
