TERB buy and SELL

Before I left on Vacation I had a digital SLR to sell - ad on here and sold - to another TERBITE. I got a fair price he got a great deal.

Last spring when I got a new car with a built in GPS I had a Garmin top of the line to sell - listed it here - another Terbite got a great deal - and again I got a great price.

Guys this is a great place to sell stuff - forget about the Dregos on CL - give a brother a deal and put some hobbying coin in your jeans.

You go Doc! I sold a couple of items here for $720 cash. I spent $700 feeding my SC addiction and unfortuately wasted the other $20 on food.

You never know it just might be one of the girls buying, I too bought an item off a Terbite at a very reasonable price. I also bought him a beer and light lunch at our meeting place as I thought it was considerate of him to go a bit further out of his way to meet me seeing as I don't drive.

I think that would be a great ice breaker. At least you know you'd have a fellow hobbyist friend to share notes with in the future.

I usually send a middleperson. If I go personally, I wear my Lone Ranger mask to hide my true identity. Seriously, there is some back and forth by cellphone prior to the actual exchange to give you a chance to determine if it is your father.

I’ve sold a few things on the buy and sell but I have a criticism about the forum in general.

If you’re not seriously interested in the thing being sold, don’t bother posting your comments, unless you have something useful to add.

I think people should refrain from bashing the thing being sold or criticizing the asking price. Also people should stop with ridiculous low-ball offers.

I’ve seen this far too often.

I know what you mean about comments, I tried to sell a washer/dryer here and there were 3 pages of comments about how to vent it.......
