The Land of MONEY.
Has anyone thought about getting an apartment on a Timeshare basis.

For example: 15 people. Get 2 days a month. Share cost of apartment. Responsible for clean-up (sheets, etc).

It would be easier for afternoon appointments and cut down on Hotel costs.

What do you think?

Could just be 5, 10 or whatever.

I think an arrangement could be made.

Buy a little condo downtown, that is like having your own hotel room waiting for you.

I don't think it would work b/c

1) have to organize use(who wants sundays)

2) payment, trying to collect

3) what if some of the guys are dirty slobs, used condoms on floor

4) legal liability for who ever puts their name on rental contract

5) imagine sitting on couch and there's a wet spot, is it water?

Shared hotel a better idea?

I have always liked the idea of sharing a hotel room.
12 to 3 for guy #1
3 to 6 for guy #2

If two guys can trust each other, they can alternate on the payments.

In practice it might be hard to convince somebody to take a turn with cleaning and laundry, knowing what the facilities are used for.

Also the tenants might become worse clockwatchers than the SP's.

A better plan would be to rent an apt downtown and rent it out per session for 10 bucks or so.
You make a bit of $$ and the dude doesnt have to pay so much for a hotel room.
If you can move customers in and out quickly you can make good money.

It would only work if all parties agreed and lets face it business men.

It was only an IDEA. I've thought about renting an apartment myself. But could cut the cost if I had some guys. Could only be 5 guys. I doesn't have to be a $1700.00 a month condo. It could be a $900.00 apartment. $180 a month. 10 guys $90.00 a month.

Forget about it.

I think the idea would run into problems with the Criminal Code, although on the other hand the chances of actually getting in trouble are probably low unless the other tenants figure out what's going on and complain to somebody.

WalMart encourages motor homes to park in their lots.
If that's too much, I bet you can get an old Econoline van for a hundred bucks and throw a mattress in the back. :rolleyes:

Between a rock and a hard place
A better idea is to just use an economical but clean motel room. Its quick private and no paper trail
