I checked out Iga Swiatek's training regime, conclusion, Tennis Canada got Bianca's training regimen hopelessly wrong at a young age.

Iga is 21, she trains for agility and function - at her age she doesn't need excessive weight training. Tennis Canada didn't know what they had with Bianca, there wasn't anyone in her age group. At 18 they put her on a training regimen of a 25 year old, she became injury riddled. She hung in there strong against Iga who didn't put a wine stain on her shoulder this match. Most of Bianca's game has returned to her except for her serve, that was the difference - especially in the tie breaker.

The sentimental favorite defeats the billionaire's daughter, there's hope for humanity. They showed Petra celebrating is slow mo...the home invader gave her a stigmata on her left hand. Pegula was gracious in defeat.

FAA looked so erratic in the first set, I thought he would choke like Caroline Garcia.

It's the battle of the gumbas for the fourth time: Gia vs Carlos. The only drawback, it's not a five setter, their past encounters have been epic. Fierce competitors on the court, best friends off it. Regardless of who wins they're probably going out to dinner together after the match. The menu will be determined by how many girls join them.

I was hoping that FAA could break through but Alcaraz-Garfia was too composed. In terms of unforced errors, double faults and advantages given, Carlos had (to quote Sir Charles) a triple single.

If Iga has a pulled rib, not a chance she'll play in Miami. Strange match, I was wondering why she was making so many unforced errors...never saw her hit so many balls into the net before. You have to defend well to beat a hard hitter like Rybakina...the way the pre-hip replacement Andy Murray used to break Milo Raonic's serve.

Odds makers took a bath on the WTA Final, Leggy Supermodel was not expected to beat Sabalenka on hard court. I didn't bother watching the final thinking it was a foregone conclusion, Leggy proved me wrong!

As for the ATP Final it was much closer. The winner of the Battle of the Gumbas would win at Indian Wells...at least I got that right.

Ode to Leggy Supermodel.

She was 1-7 going into Indian Wells against Iga and Aryna, she picked up her second win against Iga and first against Aryna. With her booming serve and hard placements why am I the one of little faith. Asked why she represents Kazakhstan instead of her native Russia. she said they believed in and sponsored her.

I see no reason why she can't repeat as Wimbledon Champion.
