As to the original issue, yes, his religious beliefs should have been accommodated. But segregating the class? Too me, this is a bit too far. I don't know how the class paired up before this student, but I don't see why he couldn't have simply made the dojo aware of the issue, and only paired up with male students. To segregate an entire class is too much, especially when it could have easily been solved on an individual basis.

The religious literature was also too much, especially with what it contained. Though I would prefer to not see any religious literature, however 'tame', handed out in a private, non-religiously-affiliated business.

I just think it's ridiculous. CM touts himself as somebody who simply isn't "Politically Correct" but then paints all Muslims with the same brush.. It's laughable that he doesn't think it's racism..

I remember having this one awesome conversation with an older dude who had a Forest Gump style IQ when I was a teenager.. We got to talking about what it meant to be a good person and he told me "There's only two kinds of people I hate in this world.. Racists and Somalians.." I laughed and told him that it was racist to hate Somalians. His reply was "No it ain't, 'cause Somalians are all dirty thieves and deserve to be hated." ..

I think this thought that "they all deserve it" also forms the basis for CM's argument against Muslims...
