My favourite comment was from the guy who sold him one of the guns. To paraphrase, he said:

"If all the students and teachers had been armed, there wouldn't have been a problem."

Fucking laughable. Talk about not seeing the forest for the trees.

I've heard that argument before from gun loving Americans who don't want their "rights infringed upon". It's completety idiotic, if you ask me. Could you imagine, Academic Institutions resembling a Wild West shootout.

Too often these rednecks forget the rest of the part in the US Constitution.

The right to bear arms to form a militia is what is in the constitution, as was explained to me by some one who claims to know the document.

This was the intent in the Constitution, to defend the country.

The right to bear arms to destroy people and property is NOT in the constitution. But, the idiots and mentally deranged always screw things up, don't they!

Excerpt from the US Constitution, Bill of Rights:

Article the fourth [Amendment II]

A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

Very true. But, a redneck dressed in any other way is still a redneck. :)
You don't have to be a redneck to be a gun lover. Just look at all the athletes who now carry guns. I'm sure guys like Sebastien Telfair and Pacman Jones would love to be called rednecks.
