Tons of anti-union sentiment
The TDSB’s rollout of online learning was an unmitigated disaster
And the chronic squabbling between Queen's Park and the unions doesn't bode well for the fall

Excellent idea just make it linked to education and experience, cops with high school degrees are making 100k, what does that entail the average teacher who has 2 degrees and a special set of skills to teach math, science or French? Shall we agree on a $200k?Once and for all, Ford should pass legislation to make the teachers an essential service.
I would agree with 200k if the teachers agree to work 16 hours a day instead of 8 hours a day ! It is asinine to have the taxpayer bilked $100k per year per degree for unionized and pampered government employees who have a too frequent propensity to strIke under the pretence that it is for the good of their students and not themselves.Excellent idea just make it linked to education and experience, cops with high school degrees are making 100k, what does that entail the average teacher who has 2 degrees and a special set of skills to teach math, science or French? Yes I agree with your assessment of police officers as pampered government employees with only high school degrees making 100k.I would agree with 200k if the teachers agree to work 16 hours a day instead of 8 hours a day ! An apples and orange comparison teachers and police, with the latter not staging revolving strike that create havoc with students futures and parents schedules. What is a degree worth any ways these days anyway.? I guess it depends on the appraiser.Yes I agree with your assessment of police officers as pampered government employees with only high school degrees making 100k.
Yes we can clearly see education is not the great equaliser if this guy can reach the level of one of the most important positions in Canada's largest province. An apples and orange comparison teachers and police, with the latter not staging revolving strike that create havoc with students futures and parents schedules. That essential service status has routinely had police, fire, and paramedics receiving contracts more favourable than other civil servants.Once and for all, Ford should pass legislation to make the teachers an essential service.
Ever notice differences between say Ontario & Quebec?Excellent idea just make it linked to education and experience, cops with high school degrees are making 100k, what does that entail the average teacher who has 2 degrees and a special set of skills to teach math, science or French? ...and taking bullets while they are at work. Can't remember the last time a teacher was shot while pretending to be able to teach math, can you?Yes I agree with your assessment of police officers as pampered government employees with only high school degrees making 100k.
Teachers are essential. Bad teachers are not. Bad unionized teachers are even less essential. If the past 6 months didn’t convince people that teachers should be an essential service, then you are dumber than a bag of rocks.
Interesting now that the kids are back to school, Ford is renewing his attack on teachers. Don’t think for one sec that moving a few boxes of n95 masks on a photo op make you immune to people seeing through your bullshit
I think it's funny when unionized teachers try to compare themselves to others like police officers as if everyone else doesn't deserve what they make. The sense of entitlement these unionized teachers have is incredible.Ever notice differences between say Ontario & Quebec?
Here our teachers take 1 year of teachers college + a general arts course and call themselves teachers
In Quebec it takes 5 years of teachers college + internships
Now you know why PQ has such better math scores than ON students
Minister of Education at age 32...impressive.Yes we can clearly see education is not the great equaliser if this guy can reach the level of one of the most important positions in Canada's largest province.
