DA: Body Thought To Be Missing Adult Film Actress

The Montgomery County District Attorney's office suspects the body of a woman found in a wooded area of Whitemarsh Township along the Schuylkill River is that of a missing Canadian adult film actress.

District Attorney Bruce Castor and Montgomery County detectives are on the scene off Hart's Lane and River Road in the township where the victim was discovered by a passerby about 4 p.m. Tuesday.

Authorities say 23-year-old Natel King of Ontario, Canada, was last heard from on Feb. 29. Family and friends say she had gone to Conshohocken for a photo shoot and to meet a new boyfriend.

King is known professional as Taylor Sumers.

Investigators tell KYW Newsradio the man who did the photo shoot was questioned extensively by police. They say he told them he paid King $900 for the job. He claims he gave her directions to a nearby pub and she left his studio.

Police discovered the woman's car on a Conshohocken street only days after she went missing.

Poor lady and her family. There is too much violence in the world. At least a name and a face was connected with this lady and the media has, so far, treated her like a human being. Small comfort in that though.

Forgive me for not being up on the latest news, but Public outcry? I know authorities were looking for her at the urging of her friend Shearer and and her parents (who apparently used this tragedy despicably to speak of their shame in their daughter's career choice before they could even bury her).

I searched for stories of public outcry and police apathy. I found some mention of skepticism and suspicion that this may all be a publicity stunt and found nothing else really.

So with all missing persons what else can they do besides question the suspects, raise a search party, put out a media release and wait and see?

What took them so long to make the arrest? Was he in hiding? She was wearing the same B&D paraphernalia that she was photographed in.

How very sad for this young girl.
My thoughts and prayers are with her and her family.

No matter what her career choice was... she still did not deserve to die that way! No one ever does!

He was arrested at midnight shortly after the body was found. He also was fully cooperative in the early going.

What took them so long to make the arrest? Was he in hiding? She was wearing the same B&D paraphernalia that she was photographed in.

When I have done B&D shoots, it was with the models *paraphernalia* that she brought and took away with her.

I have some worries here.

What if I do a B&D shoot with a girl, and she leaves with her stuff, goes to a different guy, who also photgraphs her, kills her, and dumps her in a backdrop. Serious circumstantial evidence against me....

Before this tragic incident I would say we cant live our lives planning for such things. Having seen how things unfold I still can't think of any other answer.

Hopefully investigators care enough to be thorough and check such things for DNA, fingerprints, and draw proper conclusions. They are after all looking for the responsible party not a scapegoat while the guilty party goes free.

The story is on the newswires too. Canadian Press & AP are both carrying the story. In the press conference the cops noted that she was stabbed in the neck & chest and that her hands were lacerated as well indicating she put up a fight.

No one deserves to end that way. Very sad.

City TV mentioned this morning that it may have involved a snuff film. I wonder if they're just trying to sensationalize this tragedy or if there was any evidence of this.
