The family will have to pay costs to bring the body home for the funeral. They will also have to pay costs for travel, meals and hotel rooms to attend the trial of the bastard accused of killing their daughter. This is a worthy cause that those is our community should be willing to donate even $20. Go to any Royal Bank and make an anonymous donation to the Natel King fund set up in the Placentia, Nfld. branch.

Apparently the police in the earlier incident involving the other model told the girl that they couldn't do anything as it was a "civil" matter. She must be so thankful that she didn't end up dead.

Photographer scared model

TORONTO -- Model Tiana Hunter reported a photographer to police after a shoot made her feel "like a caged animal" two months before the man was charged with the murder of a Mississauga porn star. The 18-year-old Buffalo glamour model went to police in late January.

Natel King, 23, whose stage name was Taylor Sumers, was found murdered March 23.

She had disappeared Feb. 29, following a bondage photo shoot. Her body was found in a Pennsylvania ravine.

Anthony Frederick, 46, is charged with murder, abuse of a corpse and possession of a knife.

Hunter had agreed to go to the photographer's Pennsylvania house for a one-day art shoot. From the moment she arrived, he pushed her to do bondage pictures. Eventually, Hunter agreed.

"I put on (the bondage material) and I started to cry. I felt like a caged animal," Hunter said.

She said the photographer then "totally snapped."

"He was yelling at me and calling me all kinds of names"

"He then refused to pay me."

She went to the Montgomery County police but was told it was a civil matter.

I know hindsight is 20/20 but I wonder if the cops wished they took her allegations a little more seriously. Perhaps their lack of action stems from a lack of respect for women doing porn shoots/women in the adult industry.

On a positive note, the media coverage of her murder has been sensitive and respectful for the most part. Though I'm sure the media would not have been as 'sympathetic' if it was a working girl, not a model. Some things will take longer to change.

Natel King was no less a daughter than Cecelia Zhang, but you know as well as I what the majority opinion will be of a public fundraiser. There will be critics who say she took risks, she had a chance to walk away when she knew she should and didn't. There are too many unwitting victims to worry about the ones that enadanger themselves first and so on.... Not my opinion but I've seen it happen enough before to predict the outcome.
