Tax Software

[rbadun]

Been using Turbo Tax for years.

Eventually I will switch to the free software. I am on the fence this year as Turbo Tax is very user friendly.

I find studio tax to be user friendly.

[toptech]

Turbo tax premium. Got it at Costco $20 off this year.

Turbo Tax and before that Quick Tax ..... been using these packages since they were available on the market and I recommend them highly if your taxes are even the slight bit complicated.

I notice H&R Block and Turbo Tax have "free" versions but I suspect you have to feed them your personal info online and they probably will still charge you a "filing" fee.

Agreed. So easy a child could use it.

Free and as a download.
I prefer doing my taxes on my local machine instead of in the cloud.

I used this one for the past 3 years, it's great.

Studiotax no longer works on my XP standalone computer where I keep my node pics of Jennifer Lawrence, Katy Perry and Maria Sharaphova. Had to use Windows 7.

[shakenbake]

UFile, been using it for about eight years, and never had a problem. I heard that it was once offered as a courtesy to some government employees for free, until Harper cut costs. It is less expensive than TurboTax, and does the same thing. I got mine last week from Staples at $16.99, down from a regular $19.99.

So, I did my tax return using Studiotax on a standalone computer that is never connected to the Internet.

Question: How do I now send this return to the CRA electronically?

[GPIDEAL]

Turbo tax for me since I do more than one return. I don't mind paying their relatively modest price as I pay online with a standing order.

It is better than U-File IMO.

Cantax is better (similar to TaxPrep) since it is a professional software.
