Tattoo On The Neck?

I'm at a bar on Queen street the other night having a beer chatting up a couple of hottie's, a group of sexy kittens. I'm honing in on the one I desire and where talking back and forth , what can I say we have some chemistry. She has a gorgeous face, flawless skin, long lengthy brunette hair and piercing baby blue eyes. We text each other so we have each others number and I give her a friendly kiss and I noticed a large palm size tattoo on her neck. WTF??? call me old fashion but a tramp stamp on the neck.. WTF is going on with the younger generation.
Why did I happen to search what's new. DOH. So yeah, like all of the "no offense" type comments, it's the comment, not the little afterword that counts. Ya did pick on me. And my friends. You're right: we ARE an interesting bunch, well educated medical, legal, and education professionals... Some maybe performing your surgeries, or teaching your kids in high school or university. How closed-minded & what a way to chirp someone then pretend you didn't.

We don't tend to be closed-minded, assume that we know others' futures better than they do, or publicly attempt to belittle, shame, or insult them with ludicrous comparisons (lop off a finger... Really!), thinly veiled insults, and "facts" that distort reality. You don't like em, great! I don't like being publicly insulted with weak "facts" for something that has nothing to do with you.

The notion of talking down to women as though their bodies are defined by your perception of beauty is so very tired. But no judgment, oh wait, that's your shtick. A Lil' judgment, but only because you insulted me & my friends & colleagues, and that, to me, is "trampy" and "low class." Not everyone is looking for your approval, but most people are looking for respect, decency, and manners.

It wouldn't be a world I'd enjoy living in if everyone made the same decisions, had the same idea of beauty, and stoned those who dared to be a little different. But to each her own.
Miss JJ,

I agree with you in that a woman's body is hers to do with as she pleases!

I just have to point out that it seems to me that the OP is doing just the very thing you and I dislike, when he judges this young woman for having a tat on her neck as opposed to other regions of her body. He goes so far as asking WTF 2 x's and in effect shakes his head in disgust at the younger generation in general. Isn't he making a judgment about this woman when he calls her choice in artwork a "tramp stamp"?

P.S. I'm not agreeing with IM469, just pointing out the hypocrisy of idick's view. I just don't understand how you can compliment one woman on her choice to ink herself and put another woman down for the same practice.

Not a fan myself, but to each, their own. What I do like watching are the TV shows, Bad Ink and Tattoo Nightmares. Man people get some stupid, bad tattoos. Love watching people get terrible ink fixed by a true artist. The artists on both shows refer to lower back tattoos as "tramp stamps" and disparage those as well as any sort of trendy "tribal" design tattoo. I have to agree on those. I know people who get them done in basements from some idiot who has taught himself and they are horrible.

I found this article on tattoo body placement and what it means an interesting little read.

http://www.ehow.com/about_6716244_meaning-body-placement-tattoo.html

I currently have no body art but have seriously contemplated getting a tat on the back of my neck and definitely consider myself to be a dignified, mature, woman.

Here is what the article says about the neck (#4).

A tattoo on the neck usually means that someone is risky or daring and tends to make bold choices. After all, the neck is an area that will almost always be exposed, no matter what type of clothing the person has on, and this area of the body is particularly painful for tattoo placement. The images used for a neck tattoo vary based on the person's preferences and can include symbols like hearts or flowers or the name of a loved one.

I believe that a truly confident man wouldn't be put off by a bold and daring woman!

I am just kidding...kind of making fun of the tattoo on the neck thing. Very rarely have I seen a tat that is 1.) Original or 2.) Cool. It's the same thing all the time.
all of mine are original and one of a kind. the 2 best of mine were originally drawn by my daughter when she was 5 and by my son when he was 6. everyone that has seen them has commented on how awesome they are. i have a tombstone on my leg to my first daughter that was alive for 3 minutes as well.

Hypocrisy what a strong express. Are you sure you understand the meaning. I think in this situation that would be like me having a neck tattoo and or a face tattoo, ink in a highly visible part of my body and pointing out this ladies tattoo.

Bottom line ladies anyone who has "Ink on their Neck", is not Kosher. IMHO it not only devalues but alsodegenerates this ladies self worth and image. I'm all for one expressing themself freely but not at the expense of hurtings ones self image. Bottom line I don't care if She's a Doctor,Lawyer, Teacher, Politician or Dance NO TATTOS ON THE NECK.

so you are all for expressing yourself freely as long as you are okay with how someone expresses themself.

Tattoos can be very appealing, at first... but unfortunately some tattoos can also be gibberish, culturally insensitive, or a hilariously bad choice that the owner will have to wear for the rest of their days:

I remember someone saying "all these women with lower back tattoos may think they look great now,but when they are 50+ it's going to look like an octopus chasing a starfish"

Thanks but to me a tattoo on the hands and neck is just trashy. Who am I to judge its just not my cup of tea. Man oh Man was she hot, flawless face, skin was smooth and when she got up her ass was perfect.
So every couple who choose to get a wedding ring tattoo in lieu of an actual ring, as a symbol of their love towards one another and commitment to one another are trashy? By the way, they can't slip those off to cheat and then put them back on. Also, I can assure you that my friend who has his now dead, younger sister's name tattooed on his neck for all to see as a symbol of his love for her, is a not degenerate. Or does this only apply to women?

IMO this lovely, beautiful woman is not devaluing herself, but you idick are cowardly denigrating her behind her back to the multitude of people on this board. It is my belief that she dodged a bullet. Now I know that a confident guy such as yourself, who has no qualms taking on organized crime types, etc., won't be bothered by my opposing opinion.

so you are all for expressing yourself freely as long as you are okay with how someone expresses themself.
Absolutely no hypocrisy there.

WOW! So much speculation toward a girl with a tattoo who wasn't even asked!?
Perhaps it's symbolic or has meaning to her.
I'm not saying she isn't covered with tattoo's but then again I won't guess about something I clearly don't know ...

Personally I am not a tattoo lover but people have their reasons and if you connected with this girl as you say, ...then ... really? lol

i guess this post would be in the lead for the suck up post of the year so far..................BTW, if you had chemistry with this girl, as you say, and found her to be extremely attractive, a tat on her neck would be more intriguing maybe, no?...now bad breath, or non stop talking, well thats something else

Exactly Lyra! I believe this is what ogibowt may have been getting at. You can be narrow minded and centric, writing them off without knowing all the facts, or take a chance and potentially discover a wonderful human being.

At the risk of stepping in on this, just some thoughts here.... I don't have tattoos, but that doesn't mean I don't appreciate them on others, especially when done tastefully. As Sophia said, some have a deep meaning to the individual, and that makes it even more attractive when the rest of the story is learned sometimes. I happen to see an SP that has one on her neck (and what a lovely neck it is), and that has zero impact on what I feel or think of her... If anything, the more I see her, it is a part of her that is unique that I have come to appreciate.

There's an sp from Montreal (Adisson) who has some beautiful art on her in her pics. Sorry, but to me they just add to her appeal, which is interesting to me because I am not a huge fan of tats...

20 years ago I might have thought different, but I guess appreciating beauty took me a little longer to figure out. Everyone has a story, and sometimes learning it makes the difference.
