Tapping your cell phone

You do realize that the only way to have your phone tapped in this method is to either plug your phone in to your computer and transfer the software on to your phone or have someone take your phone and do the same?
If you are leaving your cellphone about and letting others physically have access to it then you need to correct that behaviour.

Cell phones are radio frequency devices unless it is scrambled all Cell Phone calls can be intercepted, and if you want the horible truth most of them are intercepted or rather a computer listens in for keywords if it finds them it records the call for further review
No, GSM voice is not encrypted. It is an option, but I am unaware of any carrier in North America that has enabled the feature.
GSM and CDMA calls are digital however, so the type of equipment required to listen in is highly specialized.
As for government taps, yes all phone calls are tapped in some way shape or form.
The news article above was about civilians having the ability to do what governments have been able to do for some time.
Just do not let your cell phone get out of sight...

in that video they said that they changed phones , changed the numbers , etc.
so, wouldn't they need to have access to each phone to be able to do this over and over again to the same people?
they must have been doing it remotely somehow, at least that's what I think.
