The Economist founder Walter Bagehot said, echoed by Winston Churchill: " Democracy is the worst form of government, except for all the others".

In a democratic society, you have the right to protest. When you proclaim to the heavens that your goal is to overthrow a democratically elected government, it turns dictatorial for the greater good. The anarchists were arrogant beyond hubris, now they are at the mercy of the State. By supporting them Pierre Poilievre, Candice Bergen and Naraendra Modi's Cabin Boy (Andrew Scheer) don't believe in democracy.

I think there were some photos on twitter with her hanging out white supremacists again. Nothing unexpected.
I'd check but looks like twitter is down or hacked right now.

You obviously don't understand how elitist your own outlook on democracy is.

The principal notion of democracy is that everyone gets to participate in it - clever, thoughtful people, and many, many, more who are not so sophisticated. Unsophisticated people can have real problems and real disagreements with their governments, but can often not know how to go about airing those grievances effectively or properly (lawfully). Historically, protests by the masses always involve some degree of civil disobedience. USUALLY, that takes the form of violence, looting, and arson, as it did in MANY BLM/Antifa protests over the last 3 years. The trucker convoy only involved breaking some traffic laws, municipal noise bylaws, and some overblown rhetoric which, essentially, asked the government to step down. Frankly, to the extent that laws were broken by the protesters, these offences were rather mild compared to things we tolerate in just about any other protest. Even more frankly, the disrespect that some trucker convoy protesters showed for the law was NOTHING in comparison for the disrespect the Liberal government showed for the law in illegally invoking the Emergencies Act, which is why the Liberals are so busy lying about why they did it at the Inquiry.

You might take no issue with any of the Covid policies of the Federal government. Maybe you just don't care about them because they didn't affect your life. Obviously, quite a number of people were negatively affected to the point that they committed their time to driving across the country to Ottawa to air their grievances. That's exactly what democracy looks like. It's a messy business sometimes. I'm glad at least one political party understands that, and even more importantly, understands that these protesters are RIGHT about the punitive, petty and vindictive motivations behind continuing the unnecessary and unhelpful Covid mandates that are still in place.

There is a reason that other countries are harshly judging our Federal government's respect for Democracy right now.

What do you think a study funded by opponents of the Covid measures would show? How about the studies that Sweden decided to rely upon? What do you think they show?

Puhleese! Spare me studies by the Canadian health care establishment that pat themselves on the back for the advice they gave.

Besides aren't you missing the point? Weren't the protests about whether it was time to END the measures? Wasn't that a legitimate concern, even if the Covid measures had been effective at one time? By analogy, taking an anti-biotic is very effective in treating a virus over a relatively short period of time. Doesn't mean it's a good idea to continue to take it indefinitely!

Hmmmm, I've pretty much been doing as pre pandemic for the longest time now, have you still been under lockdown, mask and other impediments to your freedom?

Why are you still so angry??

I can think of a few things left for them to protest.

1. There are still vaccine mandates applicable to federal employment. This is contributing to the mess at airports, passport offices, and other federal services.
2. There are still Covid mandates applicable to travel, including domestic travel by rail.
3. The absence of government transparency and accountability for illegally invoking the Emergencies Act
4. Politicization and interference with law enforcement by this government undertaken to restrict gun ownership.

I'm sure I could come up with a few more, if I gave it a few more minutes of thought.

Personally, I'm quadruple vaccinated and I observed all masking requirements while they were (or continue to be) in force. What I'm angry about is the lack of respect the Liberal government has for the personal freedoms of those who disagree with them. I'm angry with my fellow citizens who seem willing to cede all their freedom to such authoritarians.

The twat just wants to depose Trudeau.
Dutch Oven's reasons are all over or ridiculous, the 'freedumb' convoy is just a bunch of angry right wingers who want a Canadian Jan 6.
But Lich is a total idiot and had herself posted on social media breaking her bail conditions.
