Spoke with a repeat provider the other day and she mentioned opening her own agency. With HH's opening a few months ago that will make 5 agencies servicing the Niagara region!

Any thoughts on what this will mean in terms of competition&rates& providers?

And what is with all these providers leaving with the intention of running an agency? What does this say about the current agencies and how they are running things?

It seems to just be the same girls jumping from agencies to agencies. The issue in Niagara isn’t the number of agencies, but the quantity/quality of good talent.

Girls just aren’t coming to Niagara anymore, there are a few that do but they’re charging GTA prices ($500-$600+/hour). Not to mention the insane hotel prices in the falls.

I started hobbying in 2019, and it already seemed like it was dying down in Niagara. I feel like it’s 10x worse now.

Agreed, it's the talent pool that's lacking more than anything. I scroll through the agency bios and there's hardly anyone that piques my interest. My favourites have all left the business, though I do keep in touch with a couple of them (don't bother asking for names). Haven't found any new go-tos yet, although Jewel is on my TDL.

Add in the cost of the room, and it's just more economical to go to Toronto. I know Diamonds/Temptations has permanent residency at one of the local motels, so that probably helps keep the accommodation cost down a bit. Don't know if other agencies have a similar arrangement or a condo or what.

Definitely not the high times of a decade+ ago.

As for Jewel- you should. Shes a treat.

Ive been seeing girls in the region for years, Mandy being a fave before she left the industry, though I hear she revisits from time to time. I think its disingenuous to say there is no talent in the region. The type of talent has changed, sure but thats probably because rates in the region, especially for agency girls, are in the toilet. You want better quality service , you have to pay for it. I was easily paying 3x as much for a subpar service provider 5 years ago.

The local talent could easily travel too Toronto themselves for tours and charge Toronto rates. They are doing us a favour by sticking close to home and offering the rates they do.

That aside. I believe this line of conversation is off topic and has little to do with the questions I posed.

With the last 2 agency openings, brings it to a total of 5, I shook my head in disbelief.

It's nothing against them opening but it is funny that a region of about 150,000-200,00 residents from FE to St. Kits has 5 agencies while cities like Hamilton and London with over 500K & 350K, respectively, only have one. And cities like Mississauga and Burlington literally have none except for various TO agencies that offer services to these areas.
Yeah, people will say it's because it's a tourist area (& close to the border) but again that's only a few months of the year for the tourists. And times are a lot different now than the good old days when agency girls were busy from the time they signed on but not anymore.
I agree the number of quality SPs is ok but not as good as it once was and each agency has a some. One big downturn in this area are the indy SPs. They once were here quite often but not as much now. Of the local indies the only 3 well known and well reviewed would be Candace, Belle and Jewel. If there are others I can't recall them at the moment, although Candiice has a good rep when she's travelling thru this area.

Sad part is no one reviews like they used to anymore, so gathering any info on worthwhile SPs (agencies or indies) is much more difficult.

I noticed two have jumped from Elite to Ashley's.

Seems like the line of conversation is completely on topic. ;)
They're friends with Ashley. Seems typical and expected. Often when an SP jumps to another agency at least one (or more) will follow.
In fact I had a prebook with one of the Ashley ladies through Elite that I had to change.

This is why I asked. It seemed like a lot to me. Heck 3 seemed like a lot to me but at least they were tried and true and tested Diamonds & Temptations having decades providing for the region and Elite offered a bit of a alternative to those who didnt like Jon's buisness practices.

Even then as a seasoned hobbyist It took me a bit of lurking on other review sites before I was willing to try Elite since they were newer.

Guess we will have to wait and see as a few toftt with these new agencies. It'll be interesting to see if the competition benifits us or the SPs.

Like any newer agency(s), there will always be some guys that will "try them out" as has already happened with Ashley's. But the true test for the 2 newer agencies to survive, will be how quickly they expand their lineups with more quality (and newer?) SPs for guys to make their choices. If not, their survival could be short lived....unless they have financial support from someone else.

I’ve already relocated here permanently! Still available to be prebooked in the GTA in advance (48+hours). Admittedly shy because the average inquiry is backpage level or worse 🥺
Welcome to Niagara. Niagara hasn't been a good scene for out of town ladies since the price of oil cratered back in 2014 - most of the guys who could support higher fees were guys were either working the patch or likely working in the GTA and just hobbied up there.

We did have two decent/good agencies - Platinum Models and Courtesans but they packed it in by 2017 for the same reasons - lack of $, lack of customers etc...

As for the backpage level of enquiries that's par for course here in Niagara. Guys by and large are cheap in Niagara. They were spoiled by some ladies that worked here from the 2000's to the mid 2010's and charged rates that were way below what they could probably have charged (ex. Frankie Fine). A lot of guys haven't come to terms with current rates etc... See the Niagara board for more on that. There was quite the hissy fit a couple years back when one of the agencies had the nerve to increase rates by $20.

Covid however may change things with the large number of people relocating from the GTA but I think it's too early to tell yet. You may find it better to set-up shop a few times a week in the Burlington/Oakville area - some of the motels there can be fairly cheap - Admiral Inn, Comfort Inn, Motel 6, Hilton Garden, Sandman etc...

Welcome to Niagara. It's much different than being in TO. Slower paced, usually, but you may also not find the large variety of shopping/food/clothing options that you have in TO.

As for the biz side of things, the Niagara region is quite different than TO. Like comparing apples to oranges. TO has a significantly higher ratio of white collared jobs compared to Niagara which is more blue collared. In that sense Niagara is more financially conservative vs TO when seeing SPs and/or the options of what's available compared to TO.

I always felt the Casinos made the region and city poorer. People waste their money there instead of other activities. Sure one may hit the jackpot and book an escort but not the norm.
