these guys kill people that are there to try to help the people of afghanistan.
I just don't get it , I guess they're too chicken shit to try to fight against real soldiers that can defend themselves.

the Afghan gov't should start beheading the prisoners that the Taliban want released one for one. I'm sure they'll stop kidnapping civilians then.

Can any one really consider the Taliban rational human beings?

The Koreans are there as missionaries (poor misguided souls), only a fool would wander around that country in an unarmed bus

The Afghan gov't fueled the fire when they gave into demands and let that Italian reporter go for exchange of Taliban prisoners. Taliban officials publically declared the kidnapping a success and that they should do it more to get more of their prisoners released.

as bad as any civilian being murdered, this group of people has to rank amongst the foolish I have ever seen, a group of Korean evangelicals travel down to one of the most dangerous places on earth, what were they hoping to do have the Taliban see the light and accept the Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour.

Here
The world bitches about the US and its stance on terrorism, but when the shit hits the fan, who do they come to for help? As these missionaries proved, you cant fight terrorism with divine intervention and spiritual enlightenment.

"South Korea pleaded with the international community to set aside the normal practice of refusing to cave into hostage-takers' demands, urging a peaceful resolution to the standoff. Relatives of some of the 21 remaining hostages appealed for U.S. help in freeing their loved ones."

Of course you're entirely right. The murder of this handful of unfortunates single-handedly reverses all the evidence of a savage, irrational, and wrong-headed American foreign policy, and suddenly makes it clear that everything George Bush, Karl Rove, and Tom DeLay have done is fine, correct, and wonderful. Unlike them talibans, see, George Bush and his friends are guided by a Higher Commander®..

Yeah, you gotta wonder about that?
A couple of years ago I was invited to Dubai for a workshop, it certainly made me pause and think if i should go.
Turns out that Dubai is much safer then I expected, but I still watched where I went.

gee... maybe they really believe in their religion and thought God would protect them? Or maybe they were willing to take the risk to further spread the glory of God? No one said religious folks were rational.

the comparison of Dubai and Afghanistan is a bit far fetched, one has been a constant war zone for nearly 30 years the other is a playground for young Gulf Arabs with too much money and too little brains.

Dubai kicks ass. Its as clean and safe as Toronto, but with an Arab flair. No crime to worry about, and even as a guy I have to admit the shopping is great. Gold is dirt cheap (makes great gifts) and the food to be found around the city is cheap and spectacular. Hotels are expensive as all hell, but if you can get there, its an amazing city to visit.

Don't look now, but I am just waiting for someone to claim that it is George W's fault these fools jumped on a plane, jetted down to Afganistan, got themselves kidnapped, and are now being murdered!

George W and the Republicans MUST be to blame for this! Right?

This is a Holy War. The Taliban are fighting all unbelievers. I understood this was a holy war before we went in there. It is shocking to me that Canadians don't understand who and what we are fighting.

I think they should of released the hostages they wanted, right after shooting them. If they play that game we kill their guys as well. enduser1 is right this is a holy war to the Taliban. They think they have Allah on their side and killing unbelievers will get them into heaven. Let's send them to hell were they shall have the rest of time to see the error of their ways.
