The war in Syria is backed by Israel, USA and Turkey. All the gear the rebranded ISIS guys are using is western gear. Iraq, Iran, RUssia and China are gonna pound them into matyrdom.

Israel has killed more Christians in Lebanon and Palestine than anyone else late of late.
How many Christians have been killed by Israel in Lebanon?
Give us a number.

Your fixation with Israel is worse than your astounding ignorance.
Nobody has killed more Christians in Lebanon
than Palestinian militias and their lebanese leftist allies.

What Iran has built is collapsing. (y)
Good riddance.

Turkey will try to fill the void.

Turkish mukhabarat sight seeing in Aleppo.

If anyone is actually interested in discussing the conflict instead of just trying to use it to score points somehow...

HTS has been closely aligned with both ISIS and AQ but at least their talking points right now and some of their actions show they are interested in helping people, at least in the short term. Unlike IS and AQ, they have been building infrastructure and spent time preparing food and shelter for people displaced. That said, I do understand why Christians, Kurds, and Shia wouldn't be willing to trust them right now.

And the conflict is still confusing as hell with Syria, Russia, and Iran on one side and the other side being made up of whatever random groups that hate each other but hate Assad more. Then there's Turkey who seems to be on it's own side backing anti-Assad forces while also fighting against anti-Assad Kurds.

But rumors have Assad hiding in Russia which would mean Syria becoming even more of a continual war zone (though maybe the Kurds will eventually get a de-facto state).

There are Christians on both sides of the Lebanese militia scene, some aligned with hezbollah and some opposed.

Its not gonna collapse. Syria is a strategic partner of China, So far Iraq ,Russia are sending troops, Russian and Syrian jets are laying waste to them. Soon a mop up operation in Aleppo. They are eviscerating Idlib which they should not have left untouched for so long.

China isn't partners with anyone but themselves and have not (as far as any reports I've heard) sent a single soldier to Syria.

Russia is sending troops? The average age of their current recruits are in their 50's and they have to pay significant bonuses for enlistment. With 1000+ casualties a day in Ukraine, they don't have much to send and have been relying on North Korea and Iran for ammunition and drones. As for Russian bombing, you mean them flattening Aleppo and intentionally striking hospitals again?

As for Idlib, HTS has more than tripled the territory they occupy and just overran Hama which has some serious significance for anti-Assad figures.

Hasn't happened so far, Nottyovsky.

All I see happening so far is the Russians pissing themselves as they ride their shitty tanks as fast as they can towards the coast and their bases.

This is the Fall of Vietnam all over again. Assad's regime is crumbling faster than a 6 year old chokes to death from a poison gas bomb!!

Breaking: Large columns of US-backed SDF forces are moving into Deir Ezzor, eastern Syria. Apparently, SAA and Iranian militias withdrew without a fight. Similar reports from areas south of Raqqa. It is a complete collapse. Game over for Assad in the East.

Today was absolutely historic, four regional capitals liberated within 24 hours. The fall of Assad, not long ago seemed like a pipe dream, is now a matter of weeks if not days.

Syria: US official told Reuters the Assad regime in Damascus could even fall in the coming hours. Consensus building that the dictatorship may not survive through the weekend. Russian soldiers tasked with protecting the dictator are fleeing the country.

This is a disaster, it can end up like a Taliban/Isis state, Assad is a pos but it can end up worst. Looks like the Russians are not willing or can't engage further.
